On The Road Again with Perfect Aim....

Well, Ray Hansen is a trouper. We slugged it out shooting all the scenes from Power aiming With Perfect Aim.Finally it's done.

Now the editing. Don't know How long this will take.

I'm in cameron Tx right now trying to figure out the best place to head to today. Ear infection has cleared up and ready to travel and teach again. I can actually see clear enough to shoot again.

I'm thinking about going to Dallas and maybe New Orleans. Need to figure it out in a hurry. Checking out of this room in about 45 minutes.

Yeah, The video went well. Gene is very enthusiastic and upbeat. Easy to work with.

Now for the fun part.....the editing and packaging. Hope to have it done by the first of the year. First... 6 events in a row!! :D

If it gets to cold, Arizona sounds good. Would save me from buying a coat. When I left Wisconsin 5 months ago it was warm. Didn't think to bring a coat.

Phoenix is a great place to play pool.

This is where Perfect Aim first got rolling. I hit Vegas and then went to Phoenix.

Made alot of good friends there also. it would be real fun.........

Lee Brett, Glen Atwell, James Walden, Ronnie Wiseman and a host of other players will be here in New Orleans this weekend for the Big Easy 9 Ball Classic. Ring game $100 a man starts Friday night. I think they are limiting it to 24 players.

Ray

I've done this before so I kind of knew what a grind it is to try and put what you teach in a video.

There's a reason that the Big Truck show is always good. Ray is really quick to figure out the best way to do something. After about 1/3 of the way through it went pretty smooth.

I really appreciate Ray stepping up to the plate and helping me get this message on video. Especially with my limited budget.

I'll tell you what. If anyone is thinking about doing a video and want a top shelf guy to do it Ray is the man.

Ray and myself reminded me of the odd couple.

You guessed it. Ray is the Perfect one. trys to get everything Perfect.

When your doing something like we did that is a good thing.

Thanks again Ray. See you in New Iberia and White Diamonds for sure.

Over here in Dallas recharging my batteries. And teaching a little Perfect Aim......

Didn't realize........

Didn't realize what bad shape I was in. But I just kept on pushing along.

The ear infection I have is about 30 days old. I also have a real bad cadida infection. Pretty common with diabetics but I've had it for a few years not knowing what it is. It's really been a pain. i didn't know what it was. I was blaming it on the diabetes meds.

It's kind of tough to get ready to hunker down and take care of the health for a week but it has to be done. The tough part is the road just keeps eating away at the bankroll. It just keeps coming and coming just like a hungry animal you'ld have to feed.

When i first got to Dallas here I shopped around for a nice motel room only to get turned down. I lost my drivers license someplace, need to get a duplicate, and the gal at the desk wouldn't let me stay there unless I had a picture ID.

I don't know why this is neccesary but it's their ballgame.

I went to 2 more motels and actually got a better deal anyway but no whirlpool.

For $60 more for the week that whirlpool sure would have been nice.

Oh well. Back to sleep. Got to help this body repair itself and it will.

One man a van and the road............

Stopped into Wizards Sports bar and Cafe tonight, Nice Place

Got to see my first poolhall in Dallas. Still feel pretty dizzy but just had to do something and I'm glad I did.

As you walk in the bar and seating is in the raised middle. About 20 4x8s are on the left side of this middle section and there was a BCA 9 ball league going on. What a great place to play pool.

It was fun watching the guys battling it out while I also watched the Yankees play on one of the big TVs.

I walked up to one of the players and introduced myself. He was interested in what I teach so I took him over to a table and gave him a little sample.

He set up a lesson for Monday and his teammate wants me to call him this weekend to set a time for him.

The smoke really caused me trouble with my ears. As the smoke went in my nose the sinuses started to run and my ears filled up again. That's what this ear infection is all about.

I had to get out of there. I went to Walmart to do a little food shopping and got as cold as ice in there. When I got to the car I turned the heater up full blast until I got to the room. Laid down and almost felt like I passed out. Slept for about 2 hours right where I was.

Woke up and feel much better. Might have to stay out of the smoke until this clears up and I might have to stay out of it for good.

Anyway I got my start here in Dallas. Tomorrow I am going to the Billiard Den and see what I can stir up there. I don't know if I can play anyone. I doubt it. I was having trouble playing when we were shooting the video a few days ago.

Can't wait to get this ear thing behind me. Any infection can be real serious when your diabetic so I really need to be careful. Hope these antibiotics kick in soon. No relief so far but it's only been 2 days.

Time to get some sleep.

Found a great little poolhall smoke free Hawleys Billiards.

I'm even starting to feel better. So much better that I won their tourny for the night and then gambled some.

Guy named robert that I played when i was in Alabama. Plays pretty strong. He was on the road. He beat me back then. I really ran out of gas. I knew if i was right I could win.

Tonight was different. I won 4 or 5 sets in a row. I don't think he could believe that I kept running out and neither could I. The antibiotics I'm taking have kicked in a little along with my own immune system.

But the real big relief is the candida infection I've had for a long time. it made my tongue amd eyes burn. I was blaming it on being diabetic. It wasn't. It coats your tongue with a whitish coating. it is kind of gross. Glad it's on the run.

Looks like I'll be ready for emerald billiards tourny and White Diamonds.

Plus thay have a $1000 added tourny at Hawleys tomorrow. Sweet.

Need to get some sleep and have some fun .

Set up 3 more lessons tonight also. Things go really well when you feel good.

This ear thing was really effecting my vision. It's only the 3rd day on antibiotics and I think I can play good enough to win this thing.

Tomorrow will tell the tale.

It's just fun not to sell out when you got to make the shot.

With this ear infection it kind of reminds me when I first started shooting again in 2008 and was struggling. I had forgotten how I aimed before. That was the secret to my success.

Having this ear infection has taken me back to there with my struggles.

Not having the eyes in the most correct position is just about the same as ear infection. My eyes were not both on the same page.

Gonna give it all.

You never know. And the money would be nice.

How many players Geno?

32 in the amatuer and 32 in the open

How many players Geno?

What alot of players don't realize is alot of these players that don't go anywhere can really play.

It's kind of funny to come to a town like Dallas and see so many players that you know if there was a pro tour right now and they could play alot, that player would be right in the top bunch.

These players are the heart and soul of our pool world. Some awful nice people also. And Dallas is no exception.

Give me 5 of these players to work with and keep their job and life out of the way and we'd have 5 new champions. What fun that would be.

Pretty nice pool town here and alot of nice people...............

Not just Bluster Mr Scott.......

That's a bit of a stretch Gene...I mean "Reverand". Your bluster is getting a bit much here. You should probably find Bert Kinister and gamble some with him. He plays out of Hawleys.

Many of these players on the local level do play very well. There's not that much to get to that next level with the right training and some hard work.

I'm just trying to give these players a little compliment. I play against them all the time and there's alot of talent here and there.

My hat's off to the local talent. The heart and soul of this whole pool world that we live in and love is right there........

In fact I'm doing a lesson with one of these players right now in about 30 minutes

His name is Chris and he's very talented. With what I teach him I really feel that his game will improve at a very quick pace. And this is why all the great testimonials from what I teach.

It really makes allot of difference to envision the shot at an advanced level.

I'll ask him to post on here after we're done.

I know the results will be WOW>>>>>>>>>>...............

Do you think you could talke to Bert and get Gene a game with him?
Gene and Bert would probably be a very good match.

I'd love to meet Burt in person....

But I don't think he'd want to play.

But I would like to meet Burt and I would play.

Maybe Scott Lee will get a hold of Bert Kinister and set up a nice size dollar match with the two of you.

For the record, Bert still plays good or so I'm told. I believe I read somewhere that he has some new DVDs coming out too. This could be the pool instructor dvd battle of the decade.

action!

I'd like to see Scott get up and play Gene some. My guess is Scott can't play a lick. Maybe he should stay out of other instructors threads. Keep practicing Scott maybe someday you'll run a rack.

It would be fun for sure......

It would be fun just to even meet Burt. He's one of our Icons in the teaching world. He's done allot for so many players all over the world. Just quietly making a difference.

Got a lesson at Hawleys today at 1:00. Did 2 yesterday. What fun. Both home runs. Their all home runs.

Ear infection is on the run also. Not too dizzy today. Ear is kind of crackly. Got about 5 more days of antibiotics.

I did a lesson in Wizards 2 days ago. The smoke was not bad but made me feel pretty sick. No smoke for me until this ear clears up all the way.

But I do feel just good enough to play. TJ was there yesterday and maybe Robert might want to play some more or whoever else stoles in .

I thought for sure Joey Barnes was coming over. There were about 3 players that said he was coming.

In a couple of days I should be feeling real good. I'd like to play joey some more. We played twice. First time I won. Joey was tired. Second time Joey won. I was tired.

It would be a good battle if we both start out fresh.

Looking forward to it and I need to play/ need the work.

But I sure hope to see Burt. If nothing else just to say hi.

I'd consider it an honor.

My guess is that I play better than you do. I would love to match up with Gene. That said, since he is a acknowledged pro player, I would need serious weight (especially since, according to you, "Scott can't play a lick"). I know one thing...I'm in some good company of professional instructors, and I have been able to help 1000's of players to improve (some pros even). That's good enough for me.
