A very good start..Simply gorgeous cue there..Keep it up.
Hey folks,
So, ok I know, I am excited and had to post some pictures...
With the help from a friend making sure I made no mistakes, here is my design idea and what I have made.
As you all know I love plain janes, so my first set of cues had to be within the scope of what I like and what I think people will like. This cue will have 2 shafts and to me is a bacote on steroids!
It will have 2 shafts and the hit is on the stiff side, the way I like. I am not 100% done with the second shaft but should be done the weekend.
The cue still needs a few more passes until I can put my finish on it. So the work is incomplete but gives you an idea of where I am going.
The wrap will be ring tail lizard or straight black lizard or just a Martin (jazznpool) black bison wrap.
The second cue is brazilian rosewood and it will have probably a linen or black lizard wrap, not sure yet and the ringwork is quite different from this one.
This bacote was sealed with CA but like I said before it will need a few more passes before I seal it with epoxy and apply the clear coat I will use.
I have to thank from the bottom of my heart to my friend Jacob for all his help and friendship as well Eric Crisp and Kenny Koo for their patience and advice as well inspiration. I have to thank as well Joey Bautista, Kent Davis, Bob Dzuricky, Pete Tonkin as well all other cuemakers that I bugged in one way or another and that were able to put up with me. I hope you guys see that your effort and advise came down to a good result.
Now my journey begins of achieving the hit, the looks, the perfection, the playability that every cuemaker looks for.

This is much more than I expected my friend. Looks like you have been doing it for years. Clean design. I can't wait to see it with the wrap installed.
The cue looks nice. Keep plugging away.
BTW, I finally cornered you know who at DCC. Hopefully I will get my cue soon.
