The winner "The Kurly One" probably saw the Powerball results...and didn't know himself if he had won or if the auction was going on for that night or not. He probably PMed pimp to see if he'd won or if other had not paid yet....I bet he was the winner was as much in the dark as the rest of us. Pimp ran the auction poorly...the winner wasn't even sure that he'd won until pimp posted that he'd won. I'D SAY THAT IS A POORLY RUN AUCTION!!! (Emphasized:thumbup: )

The bottom line is pimp commutated poorly but didn't do anything wrong or not on the "up an up". If he had said "it's on for tonight folks" the winner would still be the same, if he set it for another date you still would have lost.
Come on who is going to rig a raffle for a 200.00 break stick at 8.00 bucks a shot?
How about we forget this and use it as a reason to set some good rules for raffles? Perhaps we can have a sticky with good practices and rules for raffles? We can save the thread as an example of what can happen etc etc
BTW I go to sleep many nights not knowing if the raffle I"m about to lose is on or not....I like the surprise:thumbup:
Thanks to the thread in the main forum I've taken a look at this Raffles section. I intend to keep checking up on new and upcoming raffles now and enter the ones I'm interested in.

I have participated in dozens of raffles on other we sites for softball gear, I have only won once in all those times and that was 2 weeks ago. So I thought I would try my luck on some cues, I am almost sorry I did. I really should of expected this knowing how sore some pool players can be when they lose. There are many men and women out there who can take it gracefully at a tourney, and then there is always that one guy who sits in the corner with his nose in the rule book trying to prove he won when he doesnt have the table smarts or the cueing skills to do it right. I beleive that you and BPG24 are those guys, its too bad we got both of you in this raffle.
If you really want the cue that badly you can paypal me my $28 plus the fees and the shipping costs and then I will send it to you, BPG can get the Butt (representative of his behaviour) and DFweyer you can have the shaft(again representing how you have given every board member the shaft...)
I hope you get the idea.
Of course the cue will not be in any plaable condition after I use it to clean up my backyard. But you two can still have it.

Paypal is suppose to be on the up and up but they do make a good amount of money from them raffles.
You don't like the way it was run? Welcome to reality! I don't like the fact that my mortgage payments add up to more the double the loan amount. I don't like the fact that my reward for making more money is paying more taxes. Worst of all, I hate the fact that when I'm tired and don't feel like getting out of bed, time doesn't stop for me. You may not like it but just because you didn't know when the drawing was going off doesn't mean it was done improperly. The number that came up was the winner right? Suck it up, be a man, and quit whining about it!
I work in retail and I can't stand people like this. They have to complain about the most mundane crap. They want everything the best, EXCEPT the price. Here's a news flash: You can't buy a BMW for the price of a Kia! If you want the best be prepared to pay a best price.
Same goes for you guys. You're gambling on a chance to win a cue. You paid the price for a CHANCE, not a cue. You got your chance, and it didn't get you a cue. You paid, you lost, you knew the risk going in, if you are unhappy, don't do anymore raffles, case closed, end of discussion.
