I received an ash shaft today. So I tested it out.
How was the shaft tested?
What was used for my test?
These Tim Scruggs Radial Pin Ivory Joint Hoppies and a Mike Cochran Steel Joint Radial Pin Butt.
The shaft has an unbelievable hit and feel.
I have been told everyone that has hit with one of these shafts loves it as much as I and are equally impressed including a pro or two.
By the way, Eric is bringing graded 100 blanks to the show and will be at Cory's booth.
Totally blown away is how I honestly describe it's play.
Very nice!
Two thumbs up and thank you Eric,
Nick

Great ash shafts

Glad you like the Ash Shaft(s) - it was my pleasure to work with Eric to cut the Ash log(s) into boards and stack them to air dry. So here we are with undoubtedly the best 1" X 1" 32" long squares ready to be made into great playing shafts.

I have seen my fair share of Ash but none compares to the boards we cut from that log a year ago . . . pity that our Ash trees are under attack from the Emerald Ash Borer Beetle - won't be long before any ASH may be a thing of the past.

Fortunately, I was privileged to select a good number several months ago.

These shafts sound very interesting. I assume there will be some for sale? BTW, the two Skruggs Hoppes' look GREAT!

i bought a couple of them and really like mine

Sounds like a pefect idea for later,Dean, I'm about tapped
out right now from existing cue deals. I'm trying to keep my
wife from finding out so I can continue to hold my marriage
together...hehe.

Hey, I got an idea, maybe you or Nick could send me one to
try out...just kidding.

Thank you

The Ash blanks are by grading either $20 or $25 a each at the show if I remember right.
An absolute bargain.
Thanks for the compliment again,
Nick
