Does anyone know of any good one-pocket books? I want to pick up the game to supplement my nine-ball game. Serious.

Eddie Robin's two books are great but expensive. I have extra copies of each.

Jack Koehler's "Upscale One Pocket" is good.

Get Freddy Bentivegna's book for banking.

I disagree about Upscale One Pocket. I would not recommend that book. Maybe because I also have the Robin's books which are really well done, but when I got my copy of U1P I honestly felt ripped off. Before you buy U1P, do yourself a favor and see if you can locate the Robin's books first. They are expensive, but in this case you get exactly what you pay for.

I'll have to look at it again, but I recall several useful and new points in it. I think at a list price of $12 it's worth a try, especially considering how hard the alternatives are to find.

It's a good beginner's book. Should be in every 1-pocket players library. But, the Robin books just blow it away.
