One Pocket Challenge

Mika must have been playing strong all week! He beat Cliff Joyner in their 1P match, after being behind 2-0. With his 53, I now believe it might be possible for someone to break the record 60 (that is the record, isn't it?) If he'd just made a few more balls in some of those low runs, he could have done it.

This is an interesting game, will try it tonight.

Question is there a racking order of the balls?

I would think if you grouped the balls together (numerically) you might have a better chance of running them.

Mika won with his 53. He also tied for second with Darren Appleton. Both shot 50's. Efren dropped by and shot a 47 for third.

Mika won $1,300, Darren $500 and Efren $200. We only filmed at the very end, sad to say. But we got Scott Rabon's perfect 15 on tape. Look for it on youtube soon.

Thanks! I will do that!

I"m just a banger who wants to try that drill.

How are most of the guys breaking the balls?

Hard?

Medium?

From the side?

2-3 balls down?

Thanks!

There is no particular racking order, since all balls count the same. Most guys break medium hard from the side, and try to leave the cue ball close to center table. They hit between the second and third ball and go two rails back to center. Corey breaks with a soft draw and tries to go back into the balls, pushing them towrd his hole.

Thanks for the tip Jay.

I've never run more than 8, then the other day playing cheap, I made the ball on the break and ran 12, my high run ever, and it came in a game, with a game style break. Go figure.

This is a neat drill, but I have had NO luck getting any decent numbers.

I told myself only 1P and 14.1 for a month... and it's been just enough practice to REALLY frustrate the hell out of me!!! LOL
