I started a new thread so this would not get lost in that other one. One-pocket handicap chart; http://onepocket.org/handicaps.htm
It's all there.
It's all there.
If you accept the "small" premise that the advantage of the better player remains more or less constant in the various phases of the game, the following table is useful.
Bob
One Pocket Handicaps
The rating differences below are on a scale where a player who
plays twice as well as another player will be rated 100 points
higher. You can figure spots between two players from the spots
they got from a common opponent, assuming the games were fair.
Example: A gives B 9-7, so he is 37.8 rating points better than B.
B gives C 9-6 so he is 61.2 points better than C. A is then 99.0
points better than C and the closest spot listed is 14-7, which
requires a lot of ball spotting. An option would be to alternate
between 9-5 and 10-5 for an average spot of 97.1.
You can also use the table below to see how different two spots
are.

Well, 16-4 is roughly the same as 12-3 (same ratio) but I think it is safer for the stronger player. I'd guess it is closer to 10-3 in difficulty. The table I posted above works best for games that add to about 16.Bob...What would you rate the spot Gabe was giving Dippy Dave last month in Vegas (16-4)...and outrunning the nuts?![]()
I know that Dave guy has been winning a ton of $$$ playing these wild spots. ...
