Hello OB fans, anyone knows which pool hall in Louisville, KY, play one pocket, or have weekly events. Thanks
 
Definitely Bankshot. They are having a B player bank tourney today if you have the time, as long as you don't bank like the guy who posted above me. I've heard he's at least a B+ :)
 
i am interested in playing one pocket more in louisville, ky i see a few playing at olivers on weekdays mid to late afternoons but it seems more of a private money game. i think i could be a real decent player with a little time and proper direction. i have a pretty solid foundation for defense, banks and kicks already. would like to work on my game more.

I can steer you to some one pocket but I need a little more info.
Are you looking for free practice? My best guess would be Diamonds on Shelbyville road or Billiard Club on Bardstown road. Both are heavy with league/recreational players but I don't personally know anyone willing to play free one pocket.
There's plenty of $10-$20 players at Bank Shot, If need be just ask whoever is behind the desk to point someone out. Also there are A small handful of players around town that will bet it up to $100 action, but I get the impression that's not what your looking for.
Feel free to ask questions and I'll try to answer.

Naji- I was there in 2008 and got some $100 set action at the Louisville cue club with the mailman.

Louis DeMarco was also there. I like that guy.:thumbup:

I always get asked to play when I am there on Friday or Saturday night for cheaps or to cover pool time. Just show up and ask around. Not everyone is into gambling. Some of us just like to play.

Sorry Matt my post was from Feb 2011, my project over there has been completed. While i was there played at Bank Shot great place, happen to see Patch Eye waiting for a "fish" his bait loured me to a $20 match with him, i did not know him then, so you say to yourself man with one eye how good could he play; i wash wrong, playing with a house cue did not help either, so at the end i was 3 down, my time was up, played him on my next trip, i know him now, he got me by one game. Moving to Des Moines Iowa next, in January, my pool skill jumped 60% since then, watch out Walter..:)

I have never been beaten by anyone in Iowa. You better watch yourself.
 
yea ago as soon as u walk into a poolroom n lville go find that loui guy u could prolly give him a ball or 2:grin-square:
