One Pocket Rules

I am not aware of a rule prohibiting the pocket being marked for a player to remember which hole is his. I have shot with newbies and other individuals that have used small trinkets or little odd long haired gremlins that were possibly obtained from a cereal box to remind them which hole is theirs.
It is all in fun. If someone you are playing with is complaining about some little reminder
like that, I would look for someone that is more sociable and enjoyable to spend time with.
Lets have fun!

Mark It

I play One Pocket a lot... I've seen guys put a little marker in the ball rack, like a golf marker, above the return on their side... and another trick is using the counters that are on the rail (at least on Gold Crowns) above the return, set at 00 for your opponent, 01 for your hole.

It's funny how easy it is in a long game to forget your hole!

No problem, other than any embarrassment it may cause.
That's why I use my car keys. Put them in the left pocket, or the right pocket. :)

One of our best 1P players in AZ, needs one all the time. he has serious short term memory problems, no joke.

But please remember....No Shot clocks allowed:

When I was young and using a lot of drugs, I'd put a chair with a balloon tied to it up against my pocket. No one ever complained.
Rod.

since i usually have a coin or two sitting there for balls i owe, this works as my marker! LOL yes still learning the game.

I got a small suggestion for those of you that want to use some kind of marker put it in your pants pocket instead of on the table . If you have the right pocket put it in your right pants pocket; when you have the left pocket put your marker in your left pants pocket and you'll be a little more discrete LOL. Of course you still have to remember to do that -- oops :D
