Online Billiard Website Horror Stories

I recently ordered a Katana shaft, Tiger Glue, Ultimate tip tool, Kamui black soft tip and a Tiger medium from a website which if anyone wants to know I will PM them the site name just as a heads up. It took them 10 (8 business) days to get my order together and ship it. They don't ship to P.O boxes which I can understand, but at least let the customer know it is being shipped to the billing address. They didn't enter the billing address right and it ended up in limbo for 2 days until UPS got a hold of me. When I finally got the package I opened it up and I ordered a 5/16x14 no ring collar and I got a 5/16x18 with a silver ring with sugar marks and a weird sanded down part just before the ferrule. The tip tools scuffer fell off when I opened the plastic holder and my Kamui tip was a brown hard tip.:angry: Now I imagine if I try return the shaft I will get blamed for the sugar marks and sanded down area buy the ferrule.

Now I imagine there are bigger horror stories out there and would love to hear them.

P.S Anyone interested in buying a 5/16x18 Katana shaft? :p

You presumably ordered online - just send it back. Do you have Distance Selling regulations over there?
 
Yes we do. I will be contacting the site today by phone and see if I can ship back the shaft and get the right one or my money back and I will proceed from there. Hopefully it goes smoothly.

Sometimes, good things happen from online billiard supply stores. Here's a kinda-feel-good story from me.

I ordered (along with some other stuff) two boxes (twelve in a box) of Masters chalk in the Spruce Green color. Got my order only two days later. Everything was right in the package except for the chalk. Instead of Masters Spruce Green, they sent two boxes of Silver Cup in some butt-ugly dark green color (looked kinda like baby shit :o). I called them and they told me to keep the Silver Cup chalk and they would send me the Masters. Two days later I get the Masters, only this time one of the boxes was the correct product and the other box was the Masters Light Green chalk. Called them again. They said keep the light green chalk and we'll send you the correct color. Two days later I get the correct box of chalk in the mail. So, I ended up with three free boxes of chalk (which I ended up giving to teammates at the poolhall).

So, it does end up well for some people.

Why on Earth would you not put their name out here for every one to see,
so this doesn't happen to someone else. You get on AZ and complain and I don't blame you for that at all, but what's with the you have to PM me to find out the name of the company?
 
The site was budgetcues.com I just wanted to see if anyone else had a bad order with them. I meant no disrespect to the AZer's by not posting the name. If I have a bad order in the future with a site I will make sure to include the site name for other members of the site as a reference.
