Online Registration Now Available For "Swanee" and US Bar Table events

Holly, are there any plans to have online registration for the BCAPL 8-ball Championships in May?

Hi Tim, Yes we do, but for the BCAPL nationals there is additional verification and backend processes involved for the CTS system. Open / non-league required events, such as the Swanee and Bar Table, are not as intensive from a technical backend perspective. The CTS is very robust and is designed to tie in with our database. When that is ready, we will definately let everyone know.

The online system definately saves a lot of time for the players and us as well. While we hope down the road more folks will use the online registration systemk, we will also always accept snail mail and faxed entries.

In addition to the entry forms, we uploaded an electronic version of the event newsletter for nationals over the holidays. Lots of information packed in 24 pages.

The two code glitches are right as rain now...and registration is running smoothly - only takes about 4-5 minutes to register now :)

The small handful of people who did not receive their email verifications to the email they provided when creating their account have all been sent new emails and passwords. Thanks! It worked fine for me this time around. I still had to answer questions about which events I had played, and which teams I had been on, etc in trying to locate my membership data. Then I still managed to get the "registered" screen. Anyhow, I got the confirmation email so I guess I'm good! :smile:

Great to hear Chris...yes, those 4 questions that pop up, which you're refering to...can be all answered no in this situation and peeps can still register just fine.

Yes your good to go. Each person who registers online, as soon as they see their confirmation email (auto generated in a matter of seconds), they are also updated on the player's registered section of the Swanee and USBTC page on www.playbca.com. Both pages can be found under the events tab.

Love the CTS system...

ALSO...you can sign up for CTS email or text notifications at the BCAPL National Championships and I believe also at the USBTS.
