U.S. ONE POCKET MONEY KING --------title first

Joey,
I'm thinking of making the entry fee $1,000 with a single elimination format, but any player that loses in round 1 can buy back in for $500. Then any player that loses in round 2 can buy back in for $1,000, and then finally any player that loses in the third round can buy back in (for the last time) for $1,500. So this will certainly be more than one bag.Plus you will find out who really is the best one pocket player in the country today.

Bily, my math says it may take 4 bags of sand to finish the tournament. This is probably a good idea because in single elimination competition, anyone can win a short race in one pocket and that would NOT determine the best MONEY KING one pocket player.

FTR, I wouldn't mind knowing who was the best AMERICAN one pocket player in the U.S. I watched Cliff Joyner many times over the years including this month in Mobile, AL and do not think Cliff is nearly a lock on being the best U.S. one pocket player. Cliff's game may be in decline while others may have already closed the gap.

Maybe, after a U.S. ONE POCKET MONEY KING IS DETERMINED, then perhaps EACH COUNTRYcould send their ONE POCKET MONEY KING CHAMPION to Dallas to play for the WORLD ONE POCKET MONEY KING TITLE.

Also, I like the idea about being able to buy back in multiple times but that's too many bags of sand for me. :)

JoeyA (not a money king, more like a gift horse) :D

I would like to encourage the interested players to possibly bring a backer, mainly because the structure of the tournament will prove to be quite costly,in terms of giving yourself the best chance of winning. The format will be as follows This will be a single elimination tournament with the first two rounds being a race to three, all other rounds will be a race to four with the finals being a race to five. After round one is completed any losing player can buy back in fo a $500 re-entry fee. After round two is completed any losing player can buy back in for a $1,000 re-entry fee. and then finally ,after round three is completed any losing player will have the last opportunity to buy back in fo a $1,500 re-entry fee. If there are plenty of backers there ,than if a player loses in an early round and doesn't have the capital to buy back in,possibly someone else will support him. So quite possibly there figures to be some very profitable opportunities that will present themselves. ( for a little investment)Diamonds will add $5,000 to the purse. The pay out structure will be as follows: 1ST. PLACE 40%--2ND. PLACE 20% 3RD. AND 4TH. PLACE 10% EA. 5TH.THRU 8TH. 5% EA. I'm thinking about holding the tournament from the 26th of October thru the 29th. I would like to have it right before The Olympics in Louisville. I would appreciate assistance on the dates from anyone that would think it would coincide with another event. Once again I would like to encourage players to start talking to money people as possible backers, to help develope what I believe will be a very exciting and profitable event for every one. Thank you, Bill Incardona

Billy, isnt it funny that a lot of the poker stars are former pool players? Guys like Daniel Negreaneau, Nick Shulman, Johnny World, Josh Arieh, Tall Bobby, etc. Dont you think that a lot of these poker players could back a serious tournament. They gamble hundreds of thousands a night.Negraneau has sat at a cash game with a million in front of him.Couldnt some of these guys stake some horses? Maybe a tournament of Poker stars in pool might be in the work. Half a day poker and then at the tables?
