So I got my 8 foot Olhausen installed with no cloth yet...last owners cut the cloth from side pocket to side pocket when disassembling.

Local Pool hall owner set it up and advised to save a few bucks to go with Velocity Cloth instead of Siminos. I played today on a newly felted 9 foot GC at his hall with velocity on it, I couldnt tell the difference.

Anyone else have any thoughts on Velocity?

I've never heard of it, but since you've made up your mind, I wouldn't want to hear what anyone else thinks, just in case you second guess yourself. Just post up a review when you've played on it a bit.:)
 
Why would you take the time to put a nice table in your house and worry about a few bucks of savings by getting a no name cloth. Never heard of velocity, myself, but that does not mean much. I KNOW that Simonis is great cloth and it is not all that expensive.

Not that it matters now, you probably should have asked for opinions before you made your decision. JMHO

I don't know about velocity cloth either. It could be good, however, I popped extra dough for simonis and am happy. And bigpocket has an excellent point, those cheap balls make burn marks up the wazoo.
