As far as I know, there is only one on Friday nights. It is at Boscoes in Lake Forest, off of El Toro and Muirlands. $8 entry, race to 1 call pocket 8-ball, double elim. 8 foot tables. Sign ups at 7:30, usually kicks off around 8. The bar serves free pasta at 7, and they have $3 you call its from 7-12. I'm there almost every Friday, although I won't be there for the next two weeks due to the holidays. Mostly B and C players.
OC Sports Grill in Anaheim used to have one, similar format, but on their 9-foot Diamond tables and lots of A level players, but they stopped doing it a few months ago. Don't think they were getting the turnout they wanted.
If anyone knows of any others, I'd be interested to hear about them.

What about the Friday night tournament? Is it still happening?

I should have read more carefully. Yes, the tournaments have stopped for now. I'm looking for a tournament director, if you know anyone.

So you took the big tables out and replaced them with BB's? That actually is good news to me because now I have somewhere to get stick time in on the small Diamond.
Donnie also has 4 Diamond barboxes at Shooters in HB, Beach & Ellis.
Donnie are they stil doing the Sat. 2pm tournament there?
This is awesome news!! Sounds like we need to get some of our Wed night BCAPL players together and have a challenge at the OC Sports Grill!! Great practice for Vegas. We are also going to look into expanding another league night there. That would be great. Have a great Christmas

Don't forget about the Diamond bb at the Filling Post. Although the last time in there, the table looked more worn out than the girls behind the bar. And considering the talent level that night, that is saying something.
I'm a little sad the big Diamonds are gone, because they were the only ones I knew of in OC. However, replacing them with little Diamonds is ok by me. I like the short track.
Other than the places that have already been mentioned, and Bart's Pub in Garden Grove, does anyone know of any other Diamond Tables in OC? Maybe Sundown can chime in here

I talked to Donny for some time on the phone today. I am going to press really hard for Bigshot's to put a DIAMOND in the front area on a trial basis. I am certain if we can convince them to do it. We will be able to spread the word and make it a success. We also talked about starting a new In-House league there in the near future.

Joe Barrios moved the Shooters tournament to Mikey's Sport Bar in Fullerton. They also have (4) Diamonds, and Mike adds $200 every 6 weeks. Still the same time 2pm.
Nice chatting with you Darin. Look forward to having the BCA. If you haven't been to the OC sport grill tournament, we have a PA system and you can put your brackets on the big screen or any one of the TV. Also the spacing between the table is very comfortable.
