So the cue I have is an orchid cue. I am wondering if anyone can tell me anything about it? There appears to be no markings on it only orchid USA. I have found pics of the same cue online but not much else. How much does this cue cost new? That is the main questions I want answered.

Here are pics

It's a pretty desirable older brand, a bit like the Cobra and Mali cues. Don't know what it cost new but currently it probably has a value of 150-200 if the ferrule was fixed especially to someone nostalgic about the brand. I'd guess it cost about the same when it was new.

I bought a model that I think was better than that one brand new in the 90s for a little over $100. I got it off of a guy here who used to order a few batches of different cue and then try to sell them. I'm sure he didn't try to make a lot of profit on it from me, but I'm sure he didn't sell it for less than he paid for it. I think the Orchid I bought was made by the ADAM Japan, Company.

Orchid's were made by KPS, same outfit that makes Falcon. Pretty well made import cue. Had one for a while and it played just fine.

I found that exact cue at a tag sale about 6 years ago- they are OK as inexpensive cues go. Certainly good enough for a novice or as a bar type cue. Probably worth $50 or so now.

Orchid USA and the Orchid without the USA line are pretty different cues. I don't think any of the USA ones are that cheap.

They made both decal and inlaid cues. The decal models were cheap when new and might be worth 50bux now. The Orchid USA cues that i've seen, and owned, had real points and inlays. Not bad cue for the $.
