I’ve searched the ‘net but could not find any info. Anyone know anything about this Orchid?

Here’s what I know:

The butt weighs 14.6oz. Shaft 4.4, total 19.

6-point.

5/16x18 joint.

Questions:
What model is it?
Are these inlays or decals?
Where was it made?
I bought it from a good pool buddy for $50. Good or great deal? 😀

As far as I know all Orchid cues are foreign made. The 5/16X18 pin probably dates it to the 90’s. I believe they are real inlays. Nice looking cue and I would say worth the $50

I had one like this. Decent asian cue. real veneers/inlays. iirc Orchid was owned by ErnieChen of Falcon/KPS. Worth more than 50bux, i'd put it at 125/150 ish.
Correct on the origin.

@dquarasr

I have 2 or 3 of these, but not this model.

I put it closer to $200 in today's market based on condition and being a higher level model.

There were some made for Asian markers, some for European, and some for US. Some similar overlapping, but some exclusive to a market.

This is definitely one of the nicer I have seen but could have been anywhere from 1990s to more recent, like 10 or 15 years old.

Definitely real points, veneers, inlays, and rings.

I have Orchid catalogs, I'll see if I can find it in one later. Maybe, maybe not.

Nice cue.
