Other than maple shafts

I have seen bamboo shaft.

I have sold quite a few OAK shafts--they hit between maple and PH.
I have also made shafts from WALNUT--hits between maple and oak.
My experiements with BAMBOO as a shaft "wood" were not very succesful.

lyptus
stiff like purpleheart but about a 1/4 to 1/2 ounce lighter than maple
there's been a few threads about lyptus
and some fellas on here have got them from me
search "lyptus" and you'll get thier opinions of it
