he was well liked in Dallas
loved the game, couldn't play very well
but loved to gamble
made a few big scores
lost a lot backing good players

the other other day he was in the pool room
a guy asked me" how old are you?"

i said "73"
he said"you don't look it"

Otis piped in, "I remember when he did"

I heard that John Hager Jr,came to town to comfort and care for him during his last days,

i was encouraged to see the loyalty he displayed to the aging Otis

Time goes by

Spent a lot of time around him over the years. Mostly at Clicks on Skillman. One of the best Schons I've owned came from him.
Godspeed Otis!

On another note, where has JR been?

Otis was by far one of the most recognized enthusiast and promoter of pool in N.Texas. He was the road dogs friend when they came to Dallas. Would do anything to help you.
I know we are going to miss his corny jokes(if you heard it once, you've heard it ten times).
One of the biggest bite artists was in town and was talking to Otis. When they finished, Otis walks over And says, I just beat _____ out of $200. I asked, How is that? He said , he asked to hold $400, I only gave him $200. A little while later, _____ was walking towards our table, Otis said, I better leave, he is probably going to dun me for the other 2.
Otis loved the action and loved to put people in action. He was a very successful businessman.

Visitation for Otis is from 6:00 to 9:00 this evening @ Sparkman Funeral Home, 1029 S. Greenville Ave, Richardson.

Funeral tomorrow @ 2:00.

RIP Otis, you will be sorely missed by your friends in the pool world.
