OTLB vs AZB forum mechanics

Since I don't have a Diamond Pro in my collection can someone tell me the height of the top of the pocket in front where you cue from the slate. I am wondering if it is lower than say a GC or is it just an appearance?

It has now been 4 days since I asked this simple question, aren't there any Diamond tables out there that someone can just measure for me please?

The Diamond pockets use a bi-level pocket, meaning that the back side of the pocket is raised higher than the profile of the pocket, so that instead of dipping down in the back, it's actually higher. But compared to a GC, the pocket sets on top of the casting, so the pocket liner is actually higher in the back than a Diamond. ;)

thanks, but what is the actual height of the front lip of the Diamond pocket that you would have to shoot over if the ball was in the corner?

Just purchased my first Diamond so I have all my answers.

Wow I would have thought they would bring more. Mine has 1.125 slate and Artemis cushions. Those tables have the same features? thanks John

Check the slate thickness again, Diamond has used 30mm (1 3/16th's) thick slate as long as I can remember, back to 2000. If that table you posted pictures of has Artemis cushions, it has the 30mm slate in it.

yes it does now that I look at it. Who did Diamond use to install in CT 2006? This table was not done by you I hope.

thanks John

If I'd have set up the table John, there would be no question about if I did it or not...:thumbup:I don't know who Diamond used for that table, it could have even been sent to the buyer and the buyer had some one local to set it up, Diamond does do that quite often;)

Glen

So now this table comes with a leveling system? it seems fine the way it is. Is the leveling system used for when it receives one piece slate only or also with the 3 piece config?

The leveling system works for both the 3 piece and 1 piece slates.

Hey, Glen. Does Diamond charge sales tax, if they send the table and the owner has somebody set it up? Just wonderig. I know they do if the owner picks it up at the factory. Thanks, Ron:thumbup:

Have not seen a listing for the Pro model in Black Lacquer, is this an upcharge? Also does this light breakdown easily?

No, in most cases the table is sent out as product and delivery.

Yes, the light breaks down easy, and no there's not an upcharge for the Lacquer black finish, actually Diamond has produced several of the black lacquer tables in the last few years.

Heres a pic of one of my new corners, not sure about this undercut? and as I look more fun. CLoth tighter here for sure, maybe he was doing R+D.

These rails will test your ability to recover them...trust me;) it would be interesting to see your finished pocket work on this set of rails:smile:

Oh, will be happy to show these done. I may add on extensions if they stay around long enough but first I am putting my Snooker table back to pool with Billiard blocks. Then it will be time to violate this table if its still here. Either way will post pics later.
