Outdoor Table

Since I don't have room for a pool table, I've installed a Global bar table on my patio. New Ridgeback rails and Simonis 860R cloth. Plays great. Only problem during the past month or so it's been kind of cool to play outside. But recently we've been enjoying some great weather in the high 80's and yesterday it hit 99 - which is a new record here for March. Needless to say, I've really been enjoying my table.

Do you have 'misters' on the patio to help out in the summer desert heat?

Will you need a bug zapper for evening play?

In a Riverside poolroom with no A/C or fans going during hot summer days-get a lot of sweat drips on to the table....but it's equally hot for both players.

You sir, are serious about the game. Have fun and keep some cold beverages handy. Enjoy.

During the hot summer days I play in the morning between 8 and 11. No misters but I do have a big fan that helps a lot. Don't play at night so I don't have any lighting (which would draw bugs anyway). We do get some pretty stiff winds here sometimes. I was playing my son one morning and the wind sometimes moved the balls around. . Play great position for the next ball and the wind would blow another in the way. Really weird but it adds a certain flavor to the game. On cold days, in the winter, I'll play in the afternoons. Hate to say it, but if it's below 70, that's cold.

Seems I remember a Drew Carey comedy that featured an outdoor pool table, though I can't remember any episodes featuring a pool game. Anyway, could I suggest a patio cover? Check out the Sunsetter line.

It is more of a challenge out in the weather. The table plays different every day. After awhile you will know how the table will play that day and why. I've had my old Valley out on the patio in Florida for years and really enjoy it. Putting the Ridgebacks on your Global was a big plus. Good luck and good shooting to you. Johnnyt

Nice. We are still in the 70's here in Tampa Florida. 3 words Over head fans

Thanks for the kind words, Johnny T. Putting those Ridgeback rails on made a big improvement. By the way, I forgot to mention that the earth shook beneath my feet the other day. Actually I was inside when an earthquake hit and shook the house. It registered at 4.7 on the Richter scale. Had one hit a few years ago but it was only a 3 something. We've had several over the past few years, but some are so minor you hardly feel them. Hope we don't see a big one in my lifetime.
Here's a pic of my setup:
