IN blank 1 it would have to be 4 or 5, but they all look great.

I'm not a big fan of the "mottled" bocote, I would have to say that my favorites are #'s 4 and 5. The "swirls".

Have a great Day!!!!!!

I like the last one the 5th one on the right. Love the grain in that one.

Blank 4 from the second group looks like birdseye bocote. I really like that wood. Bocote is an excellent cue wood IMO. Some people can't warm up to the looks of it though!

So where did you buy it? :D

I often will give a little information on here on cue construction or repair but would not even consider giving out supply sources. Does nothing but raise the price of the product and limit it's availability. Birdseye and curly that I was getting from a company for 7.00 4 years ago is now up to 30 and 35.00 because they have become popular.

I do not remember - I purchased it in 1999 and it rested for a few years and I just put another turn on it the the other day.

Good Cuemaking,

Hey Arnie...

Those pics look great so it made me search our inventory. We put up some Bocote cored fronts a few months ago. These will make beautiful plain jane cues for us. Bocote generally comes pretty nice. Hope all is well down there and Happy New Year!

Let's see...I'll take # 1 & 2. You can also add #3 & #4. Wait...I guess I'll take #5 & #6 too. Might as well throw in #7 while I'm goin' off. :D
