complex....

but there's something odd about the inlays....they're 3-dimensional, ie,,,there is a light side and a dark side to some of the inlays, most noticable at the white, end point inlays. since this shaded effect can't be done with a standard inlay like ivory or anything white, my guess is that these inlays are like decals or something printed or "artificial".

maybe a very fine point silver sharpie ????

seriously, i agree. it's a great effect...would love to see the work in person.

Arthur cue

marcus dienst is one of the most talented cuemakers on the planet and in my opinion in the top 10 of all time for execution! his playability is extremely stiff(solid) sorry no decals here and the oval is a fire opal!

alot of gold Ivory and scrim over 400 inlays!
i like the sphinx cue allot. i really get into these theme cues. i did a solid ivory pharaohs mask and one with multiple colored inlays like the one on the cue just a little bigger. here is a picture of the 1 peice ivory one.

nice cue.............

The butt of this cue is stunning. I like butt of this cue however I think the forearm is a let down. The ringwork is awsome

these are probably silver inlays and it's the lighting and the roundness of the cue photographed at center that produce these shaded anomilies imo.

but the variations in shading changes with the angle at which you view silver. these don't change at all. plus silver is essentially grayish and reflective of every variance in the background. these are whitish.

from this pic, it looks like skin was right,,,,but it's a totally different pic from the first:):):)

makes me REAL curious to see some macros because this looks like real cool stuff.

the sphinx is all done in gold and the anniversery cue is done in silver ivory and malachite. these are incredible works of art and need to be seen in person. i will be handling his cues this year! and you will all be impressed these type of cues take 1000s of hours of work and are real works of art! these will also be featured in our calander along with works of ernie,Bob Manzino, richard Black, mcworter, and chudy with over 70 pictures!

Herr Bill, ich denke, phantasticher als Black Boar oder Chudy. Marcus ist der Mann....und das Queue verlangt ein reicher Mann !!

(well....maybe a bit rusty on my German)
