Wow, 115 players! I kind of wish now that I had gone instead of skipping this one. The Fast Eddies 9 Ball Tour is probably the largest tour in the US (based on the average field size at each event), and it is certainly one of, if not the best, and always a good time. There seem to be quite a few upsets so far, like Gabe losing his second round match among others. The tournament coverage is on the main AzBilliards page and the link to the chart can be found here for those that want to check it out:

This is a great tour. Thanks for sharing the link.

Poor Gabe! :sorry:

One thing for sure, he'll be back!

Fat Ralph makes another pro quit pool!! Actually after losing 9-5 to Ralph Cortez, Gabe quit the tournament.

Ralph doesn't look like a player, but man can he play! I'm not at the tournament, and don't know why Gabe quit, but I think top players should show more fight.

You're not alone on that one buddy!! I think I remember Lewis saying that the Fast Eddie's corporate was looking into that.

Just got an update from te venue....James Davis Jr is leading Jui Lung Chen 6-1 racing to 7.

The match between Sylver and Eric was supposed to be a good match. I'm waiting on updates from that one and others.

Eric A (I rack balls) just lost to Sylver Ochoa 7-4. It was a tough match and Eric was up 4-3.

Just wanted to add the link to the Fast Eddie's womens division that is now underway. The Fast Eddies Women's Tour, along with the OB Cues Ladies 9-Ball Tour (also centered in Texas), are also among the largest and best women's tournaments in the nation, and with the deepest fields of talent IMO.

Jr just beat Chen!!

brackets - sheesh!

So... I knew ahead of time this event would be big, so thought it'd be great to put the brackets online.... even tho in the back of my mind I thought, "are you sure you know what you are getting yourself into again?"

I tell you what, after taking photos and updating the brackets (all 115 players!), I was exhausted at the end of Saturday! You'd think my body was actually playing in the tournament Saturday!! LOL. It was a lot of names - it was SUCH a GREAT turnout! How awesome. :)

It was fun updating the event for everyone - hope everyone enjoyed the info. Although, my feet could use a nice massage now. ;)

I played okay on Sunday in the women's event - had some great learning experiences (everyone knows what that means, right? Means I didn't win but wise enough to not just ***** about my losses and blame it on stupid excuses). I'll be updating my experience on my blog sometime this week.

Oh, and should have the photos up this week sometime, too. I took A LOT! I think the most difficult part will be adding all the names to all the photos I took.

P.S. It was VERY hot in there with not full A/C. I survived that on Sunday during play, but I felt for the guys on Saturday when there were even more people in there that day.

P.S.S. Paul and Lewis run such a GREAT tournament!
