Hello Ladies / Gentelmen,

Well I would like to get some feedback as recently I have a painful sensation in my right palm, the nerve me thinks ( I play with the cue in the right hand ) so I was wondering if this might be related to pool.

After some research on the net I found that it could be carpal tunnel syndrome?http://www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/carpal_tunnel/detail_carpal_tunnel.htm

Well have to go see the doctor but am curious if someone has any similar experience.

Thanks for any response

Same thing happen to me about 9 years ago.
I tried doing push-up against the wall (can't do it on the floor, too painful).
And the pain disappeared after a couple of weeks.

Sounds like you pinched a nerve. What were you doing the day before the pain arrived or earlier that day?

Bridgeing Hand or the Hand you hold the Cue with?

Well actually its the hand I hold the cue with not the bridging hand.

Aint do anything particular, but have it since a couple of weeks, just cant grip anything tightly anymore ;(
but dont have pain cueing ;)

A friend of mine from Singapore uses a "wrist support"
whenever she plays.

The material used in the "wrist support" is like elastic
(garter, if i may) - the same material used in
ankle supports.

According to her doctor, she has weak wrists,
and using such will help her avoid the pain she
experiences whenever she plays shots that
require more force than usual.

My pal said that she was initially bothered by it
in her 2 weeks of play using it. After those 2 weeks,
she has grown accustomed to it and all.

If some of your fingers are tingling then it might be carpal tunnel. I had it and it is very uncomfortable. They ended up operating on it and pulling out a golf ball size piece of something from my wrist. It looked like a small brain. OK let em rip!
