I had a Scruggs cue that was refinished by Aron. I didn't know he had done the work until he bought it from me.
The work was excellent!
Aron has been refinishing 6 to 8 cues a week. So if you have been pleased with his work post your pics here.
The refinished cue is the lower cue in the first picture. It was a box veneer cue.
Thanks:)
Nick

Still waiting on my "refund"...

I used to have a very good friend in CHI that I sold a lot of cues (over $200k) to/thru.

For some reason it always took in excess of a week and sometimes up to 3 for my check to arrive.

Dealing with him taught me patience.:)

If all else fails be advised that I have a background in collections. Still have some contacts in the business.

Pay up!

I personally am not interested in hearing about a guy in Chigago who did not pay quickly or how good dealing with Painpool is from a shill? who can't spell Aaron's name right. I want to hear that Sore has got his money back. :DHappy ending!

Can't we all just get along?

It appears that the drama shall continue for those with no life.Like me.:D As far as I am concerned, this thread should be about comments about what the thread is about. The work on the cue.Sore and Pain's deal is just that.Theirs.Not mine, not yours, theirs. Both Sore and Pain have dealt fairly with me so let's just put differences aside.Let's stop choosing sides and get on with more happy things.(i.e. trading cues and playing pool)Sound like it good idea to anyone other than me?Please don't comment on this thread as I do not want to bogart the thread anymore than has already happened.

I AGREE 100%..

Between emails and phone calls and all, I am getting annoyed with people trashing each other's threads.

This thread was started as one person saying they were happy with Aaron's work and thanking him.

Sore_Aintya, you are waiting for a resolution that I mediated and now it looks like rather than respect that and allow this to be worked out, you are starting this up again and doing something to further tarnish his work / reputation.

We are approaching a point that will see the board not being able to allow posters to sell or advertise thier sevices or goods for the reasons shown. Either people say we are protecting scammers or sellers saying we are allowing thier business to be hurt.

Both of these would be good reasons to not allow sales on the board.

Be advised, there is now a place for a buyer / seller to post once regarding thier experience, meaning it was good or bad and not for a running flame war.
http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=42254

After that, you will be expected to keep your problems collecting money or further issues in private.

I think there is a better way that maybe you haven't thought of - if I PM you with a constructive idea, will you respond? As someone who buys and sells here, I would like to be heard, but I don't want to p*ss you off again, and I apologize for doing so the previous time.

wilson,

i think you took WAY too long to say this.
on other public internet forums, they do not allow these kind of thing to happen.
if you don't start controlling these guys, you will start losing people here.
i talk to many people in the pool world. they all know about AZ. but guess what.....they just read and don't post because they are so worried about getting bashed. having all this crap go on here actually hurts AZ because you would have so many more members. that helps everyone.

my .02

i would love to know your thoughs Mr. Wilson on the subject. in public, or in a PM.

thanks for your time.

So if I never get my money I am supposed to keep quiet about it?
I think not.

Hell, Id remain voiceless (for now) if Aaron would just let me know that my money order is in the mail....fact is, he hasnt even contacted me since you arranged his public "apology".

Want me to call you again Dave so you can relay this message to Mr. Painter as well?

My proverbial door is always open.

As I suspect you are aware, your previous input is one of the reasons on the plate for not allowing people to buy or sell, just as a consideration.

It is the attacks on members and threats to the board's well being which concern me most and which will ultimately be the deciding factor.

So, I'm all ears.

Chris, I walk a tightrope every day.

People are concerned constantly that I am too heavy handed or that I have "pets" who are immune.

I have made all efforts to be fair as I know how.

Much of the time ( IMO ) there is no sense of reward for even attempting to be rational. I am still working on it, B U T, there may still come a time when I throw down and insist that it is "my way or the highway".

Just asking people to be civilized and respectful of one another is fruitless. The only thing people seem to appreciate is the threat of being banned.

In the long run, I need the regular posters help in keeping order on the forums. I work, play and have a life with a wife and children. I just don't have time in a day to read every single post and interpret its meaning to whomever it is directed at.

People are afraid of being labled tattle tales and keep it to themself, but peer pressure and a message will go a long way.

I'd think I have been very patient as well as understanding where you are concerned.

If I didn't know better, the tone seems nearly threatening.

Maybe there's more you'd like to say?

Gee

I just wanted to say the cue I had was refinished well. Very well and others should reply if they had good work done also and show pics! I find it unbelieveable that any other type of response be congruent.

Thanks Dave - if I had known that my offer to make a constructive suggestion would be used by you as a way for you to take another shot at me, I certainly would not have posted.

One of the things that bothers me is that when these flame wars get started, they just won't die.

Bama, there's a very easy solution - one that has been incorporated into almost every board I have ever seen: You allow ONE thread per argument - meaning that when the fight initially started and someone threw up another thread on the same subject, the moderator simply kills the new thread and issues a warning. Instead, we ended up with at least 5 threads on the subject, which were at one point 5 of the top 9 recent threads on the "Wanted/For sale" forum. That's ridiculous.

So, Dave, blaming me for the problem is absurd, but I wasn't too surprised by that response.

Huh?

As I stated, your concern that I am "INCREDIBLY tolerant of scammers" is one of the reasons that make a good argument for not allowing sales is "blaming" you?

You have been making a lot of waves, on the board, through PMs and off the board and somehow, you feel that you are not connected to the problem directly?

Am I mistaken here?

Now I'm taking shots at you?

please dont remove the for sale section... not only is it a great place to buy and sell.. but there is alot of knowledge in this section and people are always on the lookout for whats not right on ebay.. there are alot of fake auctions that i would never have spotted if not for this section.. also this section helped me meet alot of new friends and helped my cue collection grow.. back at the beginning of the year i had 1 playing cue.. now i have about 7.. i think this is a great area of the forum.. and i would not like to loose it..

if there are changes to be made, i think alot of us are flexible to understand that and follow your rules.. and as for saving it could be worked out.. but please dont get rid of it! :)

Mr. Wilson.. i for one think you do a great job... and whatever your decision will be, i am sure it will be fair too all.. thanx for everything you do!
