If it's a collectible cue in generally poor condition, if you sell it that way you will get bottom dollar. I have mine restored and they tend to sell for top dollar that way. The other issue is collectors don't like to gamble on having a cue repaired or refinished only to find out there are other problems with it once the work commences.

I use Scot Sherbine at Proficient. You will get fast turnaround, excellent work, and a fair price. Most Palmer's and Paradise's are worth enough to justify the expense of restoration. If you post a pic of the cue I can give an opinion on whether the repairs or restoration will be worthwhile.

I think you should begin by posting photo's, that is always a good way to start when asking questions.
