I forgot to mention the cue condition is 85% considering the age. There is a small advantage to Mr. Chris Tate since he did the research on this cue as palmer specialist.

Vass

OK Vass, I'll take it. Thank you. I fell for that one. ;)

This cue might have been the inspiration for the Meucci Road Agent with all of those dashes :) :) :) Very nice find and great catch, Chris!

I bought it for a couple of reasons. Let's just say, it's a very important cue.

Sounds like you have some provenance that many of us don't know about! I am anxious to hear "the rest of the story", Paul Harvey style!

Yes, I also would like to hear this, please Chris finish what you know and what we don't about it.

It's Peter Balner's favorite design. I am going to have it fixed up and try to trade it to him for a cue he has that I don't!

No, just messing with Vass and Tate. We say the cue, too, in Valley Forge...it has some really unique characteristics.
I didn't think it was, but in the sense of cues such as that, I'm not too sure....

what was it selling for $$$ at valley forge ? who had it?

which is a .........

Peter has one of these:

http://www.palmercollector.com/Model19ThirdCatPage.html

I have only ever seen two of these Model 19 3rd catalog in recoverable shape and one butcher job that was history. The forearm was made by Gus on this Model 19 so there weren't very many made. There might have been 40 or 50 which could well mean there are as little as 10 or 15 still left in the world.

I figured I might be able to dangle an attractive trade to him. Peter's favorite cues are the Model 20, 3rd catalog and the Pete Margo bullet #10. Both of them are his own personal design.

That doesn't sound like a good thing, Sean :(
