i have a friend who is thinking of selling confederate themed parrot.cue is loaded with ivory and scrimshaw work.ruby inlays and too many other details to remember.will go get pics in a couple of hours.probably looking for around 8,000 will get him to settle on a firm number when i see him.if interested check back in a couple of hours.if sale of cue happens i will happily do an escrow on cue with a third party seeing as how i'm new here and have not built up my credibillity yet.hopefully i will in my future transactions.if possible i will buy from him just to make future transaction simpler.if price is right of course.from what i've heard cue is pretty well known.the lower scrimshaw are battle scenes the top scrimshaw are generals

You are too close on your pix and everything is fuzzy. Try backing off...get a pic of the entire cue, a pic of the forearm, and a pic of the butt without getting right up on the cue...that way, things should come out less fuzzy.

Another method is to take the pix outside in shaded daylight...that is my favorite method.

Great idea adding photo's, but partner they are not going to get you much action, you need to get a camera that can take better photo's, the ones you posted do not really do the cue any Justice!!:)

Take care, and good luck with some better photo's.

thanks for the advice do not have cue in possession but if anyone is interested i will make an effort to get better pics to them

Scott, without good photo's you not going to get any action, but good luck with your sale.

That is a tough one, especially on an $8k cue.

I don't do consignments anymore, but when I did, I would not sell a cue that I did not have in my possession. There is just no way to accurately describe a cue or answer any questions in a timely manner if you don't have the cue in hand.

the owner is not in a hurry to sell cue just figured if price was right he would let it go i will make sure i get a better camera for future postings guess i will have to hold off on a cue and buy one instead again sorry for the bad pics most of my cue dealings have always been local but this is a great site with knowledgable members to deal on i'll try not to dissapoint in the future

Set up a picture account at www.photobucket.com. It is free and easy. It will automatically size your pix, then you just post the ".img" link in your thread and the pix show up the correct size.

Have heard bout this cue. Has controversial pic on butt of a man hanging I believe. Heck of a show cue, though.
