Part of my Palmer Cue Collection, Including Some Rare Ones

Hi All,

I took some pictures of 18-20 of my Palmer Cues. I have 30+ but these were the first ones I grabbed, so they made the table.

Some real rare ones in the pictures:

* The very last Model M Palmer made, with complete provenance from the time it was personally handed by Ilona Balner in delivery originally
to Victor Stein, one of the two Billiard Encyclopedia co-authors.

* The very last Model 20 shaft made, still unfinished. Received at the same time as the last M delivery from Ilona Balner at Palmer Cues

* One of the Model M cues has the name Bob Vanover in the window. Bob was an absolute monster player from Texas,
who won the state title repeatedly over several decades with this cue.

* One of the Model M cues and one of the Model 20 cues each has Willie Elder's Finest in the window.
Although Willie was likely one of Palmer`s largest dealers, selling hundreds of cues (with several having this inscription in the window),
these two cues were Willie`s personal cues.
Willie was a fine player himself, and traveled some with Willie Mosconi.

* Another of the Model M cues could be the longest one ever made. Back in the days these were made, not many at all were oversized. Cue #7.

* One of the Model 20 cues has Peg Leg in the window. I have Peg Leg`s story in my files. Cue #5.

* I have shown four Model J cues ( I love`em). I have more. Out there somewhere still not located is a Model J
with the name Will Prout in the window. If you find it, I know someone who will really "pay up" for it!

* One of the Model J cues has Vickie in the window. I did not pull out my files, but from memory, there was a traveling group
of female trick shot specialists, all who used Palmer Model J cues. This is one from Vickie, one of the show`s stars. Cue #15.

I always did like the use of pearlescent material for the caps. I've never hit with a Model M or 20 and always wondered how they played... Maybe someday... Very nice group Will!

The Last Palmer M Cue

Here are a couple of pictures of the last Palmer Model M cue made. It has a special history, with full provenance.

This final Model M is the only one made with the rings in the buttsleeve, you will see it is different than the other Model M cues pictured earlier.
This is also documented.

A rare piece of history I am pleased to own.

Last Model 20 Shaft Ever Made

Here are a couple of pictures of the last Model 20 shaft ever made. Actually, it was delivered not yet finished.

A very interesting piece in its current state, and how it will remain. Full provenance on this one also.

You always raise the bar when it comes to collecting Will. I still have the Joss I got from you and I don't have any plans of selling it. Still unplayed too.. Thanks for sharing my friend..

Sweet Gus fronts.

Thank you personally for showing the Gus fronts. I was wishing sitting awestruck. Wishing one was mine.
Then remembering hay wait I got one.
Kind of like Christmas!
Nick :)

Palmers

Hi Will thanks for posting the pictures of the fantastic set of top of the line Palmers. I have always loved them as my first cue I bought new and still have is a model #16 with the fellini case. I think the model M is the hardest to find and you have some beauties. I seem to recognize a few of those cues. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Will,

Thanks very much for sharing your collection. As a fellow Palmer owner I would find it so interesting to have a meeting with other fellow Palmer collectors someday. I'm sure you have many stories to tell.
