My second year of pool school in Pasadena Texas is at an end so I thought I would write a few things about it. My 7th grade players that came to me as beginners have shown great improvement in their fundamentals and are on the road to being good players. My 6th players have shown some promise and should be an even stronger group next year.
I introduced the game of 6 pocket to them this year and found it to be a useful game to use when you are pressed for time to have a tournament.
Most of all my kids enjoyed themselves and had fun hanging out with me and learning how to play.
Today we had a faculty talent show where I showed a video of me breaking and running to some upbeat music. Its cool having 700 people clapping and cheering while watching you play. The video inspired more kids to ask about my class which was the point of it to begin with.
For me teaching pool is very rewarding especially when you are bringing young players in to the game.
