WOW!

that looks like some nice work bud.

What kind of wood is that?

Tell us more about how you put them together.

You want honesty, you got it. Overall, I like the cue. However, the wrap color seems out of place. Maybe Brown/White or Brown/Black. What kind of wood is it? Looks like a stained curly maple. Some closeup pics would better show details. As with most of your cues, it is a nice design.

Veneers with ebony point look nice ... round inlays not so nice. I'd rather not have 'em.

This cue was built for a friend of mine that helped me out. The wood in this cue is Sapele! We picked out the veneers and designed this cue together. He hasn't played with Ivory before so we decided to do it up with a lot of Ivory. Tony choose the Ebony points. I was thinking Curly myself. I very happy that I put the Ebony in there! I wasn't sure on what color wrap to do. Since it is easy to change I choose this for now. I was thinking Brown/ White also.

Thanks!

All of my patterns are made on a CNC. So they are cut with a small radius on them. I am working on have some sharp inlays being made right now!
Thanks for being honest!

Really nice wood in the forearm. Great color choice for the points too.. they stand out against the background. The simple dash rings look good too. I would prefer a simple black leather wrap but that's just me. Very nice!

Very nice cue!I think a leather wrap would have done this cue alittle justice or a different linen,I hate when people put that standard linen on it!

Now that it has been mentioned, a brown stacked leather would look good IMO.
That is what Tony is going to have put on this cue! I don't do them as of yet. So if you know of someone that does them really good please let me know!

I saw one recently by an AZer named qbilder and another by Rat that looked like they were done well, but I do not know them personally. If you do a search on "stacked leather" you will see some more.

I saw the steal joint and thought that was not one of your cues till I saw the inlays ... I think the cue looks very nice I like the wood and the finish ,it almost looks quilted ... The only thing I don't like is the steal joint and that is no reflection on you it is a personal prefrence of mine ... I like the veneer work and the color in the rings ... The wrap looks good to me but if it were mine it would have been black leather ... Just my own preferences there is nothing wrong with the cue I think it looks FABULOUS ...

Thanks everyone for you thoughts on this cue. Keep them coming!
I really like the ring work, elegant but not overdone. I have a piece of sapele that is similar to that but still square. I was wondering how it would look in a cue. Thanks for sharing!

Over all, I think the cue looks great! The only thing that I would have preferred to see, would be ebony veneers around the ivory in the butt sleeve. With that color wood, I just think it would make the ivory stand out better. But again, a great looking cue.

Thanks for the input Chris. I will keep this in mind for the future.
