Thanks to Chicago air travel being messed up, PJ, on a return from LA, had what first looked like a layover in Fargo and turned into a night in Fargo.

So he called me. We had dinner and talked and played some one pocket and some 9-ball, and had a great time...

Come to think of it, we didn't talk about CTE at all ;-)

He can't reply to this because he's banned or whatever...

Anyway, always good to see Pat... He liked the place...

I did not know he was banned. Wow! He was firm in his beliefs about some topics, but he carried himself in a gentlemanly manner in all my dealings with him on the forum.

I hope to make it to Fargo myself someday. When I do, I'm coming to your place.

Fargo is fine. We did a bunch of preparation. In the end though, no big deal.

A few hundred miles away in Minot, on the other hand, is a disaster right now.

11,000 folks were evacuated yesterday, and I hear it got worse than expected today. Very sad.

Hey Mike, I just saw this...

It was great to see you again after so long, and to finally live my dream of spending an evening at Fargo Billiards. That place is the bomb - even better than my fevered imagination.

Thanks for going out of your way for a wayward wanderer - but next time I want to meet Frances McDormand (or at least see the woodchipper)!
