played a guy today one pocket using a paul dayton sneaky flat faced joint cue
after we played i asked if i could hit a few shots with it
one of the most solid cues ive ever hit
whats your experience

A good friend has a matched set that I have played with and felt the same as you. I play witha Kikel and thought they were very similar. Well priced and never heard a bad word about him, I'd recommend a Dayton

Great cues

I have several and love them

Used a Dayton old growth shaft on my Sosuthwest and now use the same on my Nitti

Paul is a good guy as well as a helluva cue maker

You hit it on the nose, his cues hit very solid.
I have a Dayton, and when I called Paul he was exceptional person to talk to.
I recommend Paul Dayton cues all the time, and they are not inexpensive cues.
There are some good deals here on AZ, tommie1351 always has a couple.

I play with one, love it.

Paul makes a helluva cue that plays great! Top notch cue maker. He's also a very knowledgeable guy who is always willing to help you whether he made your cue or not.

Paul,,,,,,,,,!!

I purchased,,,no, rather i ''pounced'' on a ''dayton'' from a fellow AZ'er about 3 years ago one snowy, cold wintery morning,,,,,

It's an all hand cut wrapless multi exotic wood that boasts a spalted maple handle with cocobolo and olive wood points and the reverse done in the butt,,,,

flat face wood to wood joint and it hits incredibly well,,,!

Playing up in montreal one night, i was approached by a custom furniture wood worker who asked me about it,,he was so enamoured by it he asked if i'de be back the next night which i told him i would be,,,he came in the following night with his camera and snapped away with delight,,,

since then,,i picked up a spalted maple at the 2008 ''hopkins''...yep, can't go wrong with paul,,,,

oh,,,,one last thing,,,he actually returns phone calls and delivered an extra shaft for me 9 days before the promised date,,,,,,

class act that dayton guy,,,,!!

,,,,,,,,,,,alan,,,,,,,,,,,!!

I'm currently working on a spalted maple pointed cue with four veneers of maple, yellow, light green, dark green..

I'll post some pics when it gets a little farther along...
