I've heard stories that Paul Mottey has retired from cue making, but I don't know for sure. Maybe someone who went the the SBE at Valley Forge heard if Paul has in fact retired. I've owned a few of Paul's cues and i'm wondering what will happen to the value of his cues if he has really retired? I did hear that he has stopped taking cue orders, but that was second hand information also.

If anyone knows the true facts about Paul Mottey would you please post in this thread so anyone who would like to know can find out.

James,

What I heard was that Paul is officially retired and he is only finishing the remaining order. He already sold his machines to JMW...I also heard that from SBE show that his buying out some cues that he made for his small collections I am not sure if its true...but Paul told me that he no longer accept order. In comes of the value of his cue we don't know whta the secondary market will dictate...If he ever inducted to HOF then his cues will be sky rocket..just my .02 cents :)

Thanks Jun for the input about Paul Mottey. I didn't think that Paul was old enough to retire yet and I have no idea why he stopped his cue business. I guess JMW will do any repair work on Paul's cues in the future.

I hope that you had a good time at the SBE and i'm going to have to try and make it there next year.

I agree.

But only if he reaches HOF status, IMO. Otherwise I see them staying stable.
