Why do you select sellers continue asking for gifting on paypal? It benefits no one, it comes across as a cheap few dollar savings ploy. There is no recourse should the deal go crappy.
I'm tired of seeing it. If I click on your thread and see it, click bye bye.
Put it in the price of your sale, make the buyer pay all or half:eek:
Having to pay to use a service really to much for you?
While I'm at it,
Post pics in your for sale threads!!!!! Not to difficult.
And quit saying you will to only keep bumping it for weeks with others asking for them and you keep ignoring their requests.
That is all,
for now.;)

Disclaimer:
Yes, I'm in a mood.

I Tell The Seller I'll Add Money

For what it's worth, I want the buyer protection and tell the seller I'll split the Paypal 2.9% fee and add 1.5% to the payment amount.........but I really have to want the item in question very badly to do that.

Who ?

Why dont you ask them directly by pm?

I think its bad business to ask for the payment sent as a gift......
First part is that its a lie.
Second part is that the buyer is taking a extra risk for nothing and is supporting fruadulant transaction.
If the transaction does go south and if it goes into dispute, both parties start off as self confessed liers. Not only is it agaist pay pal rules ,but a act of fraud.

I have customers send me money as a gift but I never ask for it.

What are the chances of having any customer not 100% happy with the product .
Sooner or later its going to happen, its best off to try to do everything on the level.
then if there is a problem offer the customer his money back.
That is the best thing you can do,

This comes up from time to time and I also do not understand it. I for one will NEVER do business with anyone demanding payment as a gift. There is no recourse for the buyer should something go wrong.

If the seller chooses to use a service to sell their product they should pay for that service. If you dont want to pay for it don't use it.

I've been using PayPal for a long time now and it makes buying and selling easy, but I never use "gift" for purchases. If things ever go wrong, it's all on you.

I always want it to go threw as Goods , cost me a couple buck , but the tracking and protection is worth it . I also don't have to wait threw those long lines as we can print the lables and get the shipping cost paid threw paypal . Mark it goods and have your address in paypal . . Jim

just add 5% to the asking price and give pp their juice. Paypal provides a service so man up and pay for the service. The easy way to transact is to say I want x-amount and the buyer ships x-amount then you give pp their 3% and with the other 2% you sip a mocha double frappocino latte grande espresso mucho and calmly reply to the nice itrader you got thanking you for a painless transaction.

OR

Everyone use Dwolla which takes .25cts per transaction over $10 and nothing for transactions under $10.

I think I am going to start giving every one of my customers $5 just to sign up with Dwolla. How about that. Everyone of you who signs up with Dwolla get's $5 off a case from me. And if you pay me with Dwolla you can take another $5 off.
