Pechauer cue question

I was looking at maybe picking up a Pechauer cue but I do have some hesitation.
My concern has nothing to do with how it would play.
My concern lies more in the overall looks of the wood and so some extent inlays if I go with a certain model.

Those of you who own one, can you comment on the appearance of your cue.
To be more specific I was looking at a wrapless cue the P04 or the P09.

If you own one I would like to know your thoughts and the model you have.

i just purchased a po8. i need another cue like i need another hole in my head. actually i play with a phillippi that costs 5 times as much as the pechauer.

i bought it simply because i like the looks of it. the level of craftsmanship is well worth the purchase price.

thats just my .02. others may have a different opinion.

How do they compare, in appearance to a Schon?
I would agree with the previous poster that the website images don't really look great.
That is my concen.

I have a Pechauer with a grey stained maple forearm and when you look at the finish it looks as if it is an inch deep. What ever they use for a finish makes it look deep.Overall the fit and finish is as good as any production cue I have ever seen.

I have a wrapless Pechauer PH-5. It plays great, a beautiful cue to look at, and made from good ol' trees grown in Wisconsin.

IMO Pechauer cues are under-appreciated and not as well known... Usually I get an odd look when people ask me what my play cue is and I say, "It's a Pechauer."

Funny name. Serious play.

I have a PH-2. I do like the look of it, but it does look more like a
'production' cue, which it obviously is. I love the way it plays, but
don't like the shaft taper as compared to my main player.... so it
stays in the bag. This model has a steel joint but a hit quite similar IMO
to one piece, nice and solid. Hope that helps.

I see your in Wisconsin. If your in the Green Bay area, hit me up and we can stop into their location. I know a few people who work there and you can see the cues first hand.

I agree with the previous poster that said that Pechauer cues were under valued. I have sold dozens of Pechauers and I can say that they are a great custom cue to own and play. They are the only cue maker I know of that has their own saw mill and process their own lumber. Now thats taking care of attention to detail and producing cues from start to finish. As to the quality of the cue photos, dont worry about it. Those images are shot with a flat lighting approach in order to show more cue details without having the glare of the gloss finish interferring with the presentation of those cue details.

I used to own one of their Pro H hustler cues until life interferred and I had to have some money. That was a great hitting cue. I have always considered that model the most beautiful of the production hustler cues, with the exception of the Joss sneaky petes. Just beautiful pieces of wood go into those cues.

I once owned the P04 and sold it here actually. Great cues but tough to find any extra non pechauet shafts for it. Now this was a few years ago, I don't know if things have changed since then.

It sounds like everyone who has one really likes the look and or quaility of wood and finish.
All the pictures we see then just don't do them justice.
Thanks to all.

Pechauer Quality

One of my first cue was a Pechauer P10 and it was a great cue. Superbly well finished and all the details were top notch.

Wood is pretty.
Inlays are simple, nice and perfectly aligned - CNC Work so rounded ends.
Finishing is top notch.

If you've already tried a Pechauer and like the hit then there's simply no reason not to go ahead and buy one.

Here's a link the a Pechauer i traded awhile back, it's got some close up pictures of the cue to give you a better idea of the finishing and inlays.
