I cant remember for sure but I think I bought this cue back in 2003. It was listed on Ebay as an unknown cue with a tooled case. I was more interested in the case at the time so the cue was a bonus. I had it several weeks before I even saw the hand written name which was very faint. A few years later I sent it to Scott at Proficient for a refinish and its been in a case ever since. Im pretty sure it was from a pawn shop in Texas and the case had someones name tooled on the front and back. I sold the case and lately have kicked around the idea of selling the cue but im not sure as to its value....(any thoughts??) It looks to me like it is a Level 4 P21 according to the Blue Book which says $900 in 98%. I know the BB prices are only a cheap reference but its a start I guess. The only flaw, if you would call it that, is the shaft is 12mm.

I posted this cue once before back in 09 and got a little bit of info on it.
Definitely the 90's, but what year specifically would require more research. All I can remember of the time is I took some of the cues to an event at Bogarts Billiards in Livonia, MI. If I could easily access the tournament report, I could nail down the date.

We were making a push to take the tour world wide, and received cues from many fine makers. Scruggs, Pechauer, It's George, Schuler, and others were displayed on all our flyers. If I could track down one of the old ads, (mountain of Texas Express Promotions Group paper), I could provide a complete list of sponsors.

We provided the rooms with cues, cases, accessories, etc. to aid in the raising of the added money for the tournament. Some were raffled, some were put up for sale, some were used in mini-like tourneys for prizes.

I have looked at hundreds of cues, all over the country, and I have never seen another one like it.

My advice? Its a keeper.

i got the same also from ebay, even though mine has nothing written on the butt. but its a beauty and a phenomenal player.

Are the inlays the same color? A friend of mine has a very similar cue but the inlays are red.

yeah mine is exactly the same, there is a different model that is similar to this on though with red colors...
