pechauer vs mezz

between the two i think the mezz designs are better looking. i've never hit a ball with a pechauer so i can't comment on which ones play better.
Mezz makes the best production cues in the world. i have never seen such quality craftsmanship from a production company. Everything from their joint alignment to their wraps. over the past few years i have seen many people change from schon cues to mezz as their popularity has grown. i have asked them why and the majority of them say Quality and feel.
I have also seen people play with a pechauer...two very strong pros play with pechauer: Max Eberle and Stan Tourangneu. Stan is not sponsored by Pchauer but chooses to play with one. That is a strong statment.

he s imo totally right and i agree 100 %,. There are just 2 brands for me, who are manufacturing *series/production* cues on a high-level.
And this is Mezz and Schon. Behind them it takes a while to find the next brands depending on quality.

max doesn't play with a pechauer anymore. or at least he didn't the last time i saw him. he had a custom cue with a 314 shaft
i spoke with max the other night. he is playing with pechauer cues and is officially sponsored by them. he is also a dealer for them.

You get my vote. I will get a Mezz too.
This post is interesting to me because they are 2 of my favorite production cues. In fact I personally use a Mezz ZZSP and my old cue was a Pechauer Pro Series Cue quite. I have some for sale if you check my threads.
Pechauer has a fantastic selection of wrapless cues. Mezz does not have any (except for some of the pricier Exceed cues and the Sneaky Pete). In fact they have very few leather wrap cues. Your decision should be based on what you like the feel of. Mezz cues also seem to be a bit more forward weighted.

Doesn't (or didn't) Danny Basavich play with a Pechauer?
I've had my eye on a model from both makers. Pechauer strikes me as the tried-and-true traditional American cue, and Mezz as an example of modern cue technology executed to high Japanese standards. At their reasonable price point, it's not a stretch to have one of each.
