Can someone give me the skinny on the pool halls there and any tournaments, caliber of players, leagues, etc.? I play on 9'

you live close by? I have yet to try any tourneys, but I do play in 2 APA (8-ball) leagues. I play for the same place both nights...Dave's Goodtime Billiards which is a poolhall on Farmington Rd. (between Bradley Park and Peoria Speedway - for reference). I'm not really a pool fanatic, so the only places I have really played are the bars that we compete against.

Now ask me about the area golf courses!!!! :)

There is a nice place called CueSport College that has two Diamond 9ft Smart Tables and one 7ft Smart Table. I think you pay a membership to play there. It's a nice, quiet place to practice. That is where I practice whenever I am visiting IL.

A great place for serious pool players if you can get in there.

does it have to be Peoria? Not really familiar with peoria, but I know quite a few tournaments or rooms in the surrounding area( I live in bloomington). What kind of tournaments or opponents are you looking for?

The only poolhall in Peoria is Dave's as Trusty mentioned...Very friendly regulars there and you can find any game/action you want. Talk to Dave Jr. He runs the place and will steer you in the right direction. Come on in!! Full bar, good eats to get ya through...Most everyone there are approachable and have a good time. Peace, AJ

This thread HAS to be real OLD - haven't played APA since 07.

looks like KJ has been using the search feature! :p
