Perfect Aim Sucks

I am assuming nothing. I have several beginners in my shop and I teach them the basics of aiming first and work on their stroke later.

I USED TO teach them the mechanics of the stroke first and I find it much easier when they understand how to line up to correct the stroke.

And I will bet large that I can take a person who has never held a cue in their hands and lay the cuestick on the correct line and as long as they don't miscue they will make the shot I set up no matter where they hit the cueball.

I dont no what i was thinking ,your right aiming comes before stroking.heck you dont even have to have any kind of stroke just as long as you can aim properly.
You are very lucky you dont live by me because we would get someone thats never held a cue and we would find out .Imagine how silly they would look on a 9 footer.Never held a cue ,its wonder someone else hasnt
commented on how silly that is.

If i where a world champion and made the comment on the stroke is more
important in the beginning would you agree?Just because you dont know me
and dont agree with me and alot of people may agree that strokeing is not as important as aiming i could care less, just tells me your not really serious
about pool.

Yeah, I am not serious about pool. That's why I spend time on discussion boards talking about it. That's why I have been to hundreds of tournaments in my life and spend hundreds of hours gambling. That's why I have owned just about everything written or taped on how to play pool and taken instruction from many champions.

Why don't you take your perfect stroke and line up a half inch of the correct line and see how many racks you can run out?

I know people who can draw the ball two table lengths and have the most perfect stroke you can imagine and they can't run three ball consistently. The are constantly frustrated with the balls they miss. Gee I wonder what could be wrong since their mechanics are nearly perfect?????

But of course I am not serious about pool so I don't have any clue what I am talking about.

Bring your money to Valley Forge or send someone to bet for you and we will go to the big mall down the street to find two people to do our little experiment. You get one hour to teach them to stroke and I get one hour to teach them to aim. We will see which person makes more balls.

Deal?

I think we ought to get back on track here and just agree to disagree, We all have opinions and I value everyones opinion. Truth is everyone is going to be different!

We all have different ways of learning and teaching, Some maybe better than others, but if it don`t work for you than try something else.

I have an easy way to teach players an aiming system which I developed, Genes Perfect aim is not an aiming system but a way to enhance whatever system or method you do use. Even if its by feel. Nothing wrong in my opinion to use what you want.

But if you keep an opened mind you can be suprised at what you learn!

Manny uses my aiming system , And Genes Perfect Aim Helps to enhance it.

I am teaching others my system on Mannys team and they have shown tremendous changes in their game , they love it. I have not shown them Genes Perfect aim yet, I can imagine how quickly that will improve their game also.

So guys Let use what we each use if that is what works for you nothing wrong with that. But to improve as I said we must approach things with an opened mind.

Thanks H.P.

You should get him one of those shirts seen on modern family except like the black and white T-shirt vince wore.

Black shirt with white lettering "Whos da Manny"

I am sure it would get lots of laughs.
