Perfect Aim Video

Need to say something..............

Maybe it's because we understand that each individual sees things a little bit differently. If what you are indicating were true, Earl wouldn't be able to make a shot at all. Look where his head is positioned over the cue when he shoots. Has he been wrong all these years?

There is no "one size fits all" when it comes to sighting down the cue. We work with individuals, and we have to treat them as such.

Hi there,
I just needed to say something.
How can teachers that are supposed to teach people be critical of something that they know almost nothing about. Or should I say just enough to be dangerous.
With Perfect Aim the individual can find where their perfect spot is for every shot. It also will teach the player how to find the perfect spot themselves after they understand it for all their shots.

Many of the things we learn with pool are self taught. Trial and error. Many of the mistakes we do with pool we do over and over and still make the same mistakes unless we know how to correct the problem. This is why we sometimes seem to be stuck at one level for a long time.

The pool teachers out there are a great help because they can help identify the problem for the player and there for make a correction that will improve their pool game. This serves a purpose for all pool players and is a great need for someone that is trying to improve their game.

I feel bad when teachers that are supposed to help ridicule something like Perfect Aim without knowing hardly anything about it only because they might just stop one person form learning this and improving the game they love and enjoy.

I was cleaning out my car the other day without my glasses on. As I was doing so I accidently threw away a check for a couple hundred dollars that I got from a little pool tournament.

I strongly recommend that you put your glasses on when you look at Perfect Aim so you can make an educated opinion instead of a "MY DAD CAN BEAT UP YOUR DAD" type of statement without proper knowledge about what you are talking about.

Someday the nay say teachers out there will see Perfect AIM and wish they could have been teaching it for a long time. Just think of how many players you could help showing Perfect Aim instead of ridiculing it.

The teachers that I have taught Perfect Aim to have had their eyes opened to something very helpful to themselves and all pool players.

Columbus once said the world was round. They used to burn people at the stake if they didn't understand them, Witches. And some people burned books over time to supress knowledge that they thought noone should know.

Get the picture. Enough said. Buy the video and see what you are missing.

Have a great day Gene with PERFECT AIM..................

My post was in response to another posters comment that the cue must be centered. That is a false statement, for the reasons I stated. I wasn't commenting on your system, just on a statement that I felt needed to be corrected.

The cue must be where what a person perceives to be a straight line, is actually the straight line down the cue. That may be under the chin, under one eye or the other, or somewhere in between. It is frequently different for different individuals. If you have a system that allows the student to identify that position on their own, then you have indeed stumbled on something that may help players struggling with accurate aiming.

Gene,

I am a BCA certified instructor in Phoenix, the place where you launched your Perfect Aim campaign.

One of the gentleman that you sold a lesson and video to here, recently gave that video to me because he said it was worthless to him. He said he asked you several times during your session how your eye placement technique is going to do any good if he has fundamental problems in his stroke; to which your response was always, "Don't worry about that now, just do this." He also told me that you misquoted him on your web site, making his actual comments sound like praise for your system when they were not meant to be praise at all.

There is another Phoenix player you quote on your web site as giving your lesson high praise when, in fact, it was the gentleman's wife who received the lesson, while the gentleman's comment to me was that it (Perfect Aim) seemed more like a "gimmick" than anything else.

So here are two cases of misinformation that I have stumbled onto. How many more cases would I find in the Phoenix area if I went looking for them?

In all fairness, I did view your video, and while it was pretty poorly done, I do believe that you offer a little bit of good advice on it. I just don't think that advice is worth much money. As a matter of fact, it's the kind of stuff that most professional instructors give away all day long for free. (They only charge for the meaty stuff.)

I don't mean for this post to be a slam on your knowledge or your game, Gene. You are an excellent player. But it wasn't Perfect Aim that made you that way. It was your years and years of study, practice and experience that made you become the player you are.

What I do mean for this post to do, however, is to serve notice that you are not a professional instructor, and that your verbal attack on Steve and others who are actually qualified to teach, is not appreciated.

Thank you for your time.

Too much foolishness. Cowboys may well have started looking down the gun barrel and tediously aiming at their targets, having perfectly aligned the sights to the aim point, then squeezed the trigger. Most likely their target got bored and walked away in the process. Later, they learned that their brain already knew how to acquire the target without all the fuss. Even when I shot snooker, I was loathe to "lay down" on the shaft like the girls do. It simply isn't necessary, and in fact, the view is more clear from a slight height. After a couple of draws on the cue stick, you already KNOW where you are aiming that stick. It's like pushing someone out a door...you find the back (opposite the opening) and push. Same for a cue ball. Without travelling around to the back of the ball to determine it's "back" to the target, SEE it from where you're shooting, then trace it's path with your eyes before actually striking that "back of the ball". Remember, it's not the "back" to you, it's the "BACK" of the ball to the open pocket (or combo ball). Any special effects english applied to the shot will take effect AFTER striking the back of the cue ball (EX draw, follow, etc.) Remember to remain still through the shot. Some call this "staying down" through the shot, but that only would apply if you "got down". Pay me the cost of any DVD and you'll come out WAY ahead.

Good post! Are you a certified instructor?....SPF=randyg

I really believe that this is just another example of a bunch of words intended to mislead everyone, and create mystique about something undeserving of it. Perfect Aim is nothing more than centering the cue between your eyes. Your head position is then within 1/8 of an inch of being in "perfect aim". Since your eyes are about 30 inches from the cueball, how much effect on sighting is a 1/8 inch head movement going to make? If "Perfect Aim" is anything other than a requirement to center the cue, I again ask Gene to correct me - like I've asked several times previously in other posts - but I've never got a reply.

When I spoke on the phone with Gene, we broke no new ground, because I already centered the cue. Yet he subsequently posted to the effect that he was happy to have helped me and was sure I was now shooting better as a result of "Perfect Aim" blah, blah, blah. He should have not have posted misleading statements using me as a tool, I believe.

Also, I believe it is noteworthy that neither Shooting Arts nor Spider ever came back with the reviews we were all anticipating. These two vocal and intelligent AZBr's have good reasons, perhaps.

Hi there,
Once a player learns where their Perfect Spot is they will be able to get there right away so there will be a minimal adjustment to make to make the aim absolutely perfect.

This is what all the players are experiencing with Perfect Aim. I use it everyday and about the only time I miss is when I don't do it or don't it correctly or from just being lazy which is really foolish. But it happens with everyone...........

have a great day Geno.................

Gene

Thanks for the reply. I also talked to you on the phone about this. You cleared up my question and really helped my aiming. I was a fairly decent shooter before but now I am able to make those shots that I was missing on a better percentage. You aiming system works for me. It makes the ghost ball system work better and I am sure will improve everyones aiming if they give it a chance.

One thing about the DVD is I wish it had chapters. That would make it easier to get to a subject without going thru the whole DVD.

Thanks for addressing a problem that as you stated is right in front of our face. We have all used this system to some extent but were not aware or conscious of it.

For me this DVD does what the title says. Perfect aiming. It does nothing else. It does not give you a pefect stroke, or teach any other basics. It does not teach you strategy or how to play for position. Does not claim to do that either. What it will do is show how to get in line for better aiming.

To learn a good stroke I would recommend the 3 day courses that the BCA instructors give. That course and your video are a good start and investment for anyone serious about pool.

This is FUNNY S**T!

ROFLMAO

I'm sorry but this entire subject about a "single" method of aiming is simply downright funny! Years ago Pool & Billliards magazine interviewed dozens of pros on this subject. http://www.sfbilliards.com/PnB_aiming.pdf
The conclusion was...there are "dozens" of perfect aiming systems! LOL
Successful aim comes from continuous practice (table time) so that when it actually comes time to "aim"...you don't even have to think about it.
Instead of wasting your money on another video or another gadget, buy Bob Francher's book, "Pleasures of Small Motions".
