I'll weigh in with my opinion later this evening. I'm supposed to give him a call in a couple hours to have him explain how to find my vision center according to the way he teaches. Nice guy to offer to do that IMO.
MANY people can and have been helped by PERFECT AIM as well as the rest of the things that Gene teaches.
SOME people, already know how to aim perfectly and don't need to learn what Gene teaches.
One other caveat: I have benefited from most of the aiming systems I have learned, some more than others.
Just my opinion.

It undoubtably works.
In the event you can make your aiming technique close to perfection, you possibly can learn various other methods and shoot more balls faster.
He's a great aid to develop your aiming. I highly recommend Perfect Aim.:thumbup:

On the other hand the DVD is over priced and under produced. No scrip, horrible sound levels and a lack of continuity. I really needed this to help me but the subject matter just did not come across.
I've gone back to it a number of times but the jumping sound makes me crazy. But then I might be. YMMV.

It's not about any aiming system ,rather how you need to place yourself to see the shot more correctly. You might be doing it already .
Good investment ,you mite find something he teaches very helpful . Another thing you might want to invest in is a book ....answer to a pool players prayer .Very interesting read.

I agree with this. Gene is ahead of his time. His teachings haven't been widely accepted yet, but will be in the future.
The book is written by Kranicki and also deals with visually related alignments.

I met Gene 4 years ago at a tournament and he gave me a free mini lesson because I wasn't ready to spend 200 on a full lesson. Since then I became a lot more serious about pool and took many lessons, I ran into Gene last fall at the Carom Room in Beloit, WI and decided it was time. I was very satisfied in the new knowledge he had to offer vs other instructors I had worked with. His system works if your not aligning yourself properly over every shot which I was not, it definitely gives me confidence when I have a shot I struggle with. I guess for me it came down to I have over 4k invested in cues, cases, and equipment and probably spend at least 500 a year in table time so all things considered 200 to possibly shoot better...why not. Besides some instructors I worked with I didn't always agree with everything they said but one thing I can tell you is I have always learned at least one valuable piece of information from each of them, and for me that's enough.

I called Gene about 3:15 PM, and by the time I left the table my phone said I'd been on with him for 2 hrs, 20 min. No charge. That right there is all you need to know about where the guy's heart is.
Gene really set me straight about a lot of things that have been plaguing me. His understanding of vision and how it varies from one person to another is extremely helpful. He showed me a way to determine my eye dominance that left no doubt in my mind about it. Then he showed me why it is so important to be aware of this. He's not the first to believe in this, but he has come up with some very clever ways to demonstrate these concepts right there on the phone.
I initially had my doubts about how useful a phone lesson would be, but walking around the table using a bluetooth headset, I almost felt like he was right there in the room with me. In fact, when we were done I went upstairs to discuss all this with my wife and I actually had the feeling that he was down there still, waiting for me to return. Lol
We didn't discuss aiming in depth, just the importance of getting my eyes in the right place. In my case, I needed to get over more to the left than I had been since I am right eye dominant (even though it's my bad eye). Once that was done, aiming felt automatic, like it feels when you are really in stroke. Who knows? Maybe being "in stroke" has not so much to do with the actual stroke, as it is more about being in a zone where you correctly sight and get down on the shot in a very consistent manner.
Time will tell if this will have a lasting effect for me. I think it will, though. No magic bullet, perhaps, but a much better starting place from which to learn to shoot the gun correctly.
There's much more I could say, lots of little tricks (one of them is pure gold) he explained in a short time. Better to see if he will do a phone lesson with you and find out for yourself. You will not be disappointed.
