Personal cues

Have to kept any of your "firsts?" I still have the first full splice with collars, one of my first 3 pc construction cues, 4pt short splice, and 4pt short splice w/ veneers.

I was just wondering if you held on to anything to remind you how far you have come.

I am still searching for the first cue I sold. I want it back for that reason. A guy in WV has it. Gonna have to make a road trip. Aside yep I like looking at my early work. It refreshes my memory of how many sleepless nights I had trying to figure stuff out.

1st joint

i have the first bar cue that i whacked in half and installed a joint, 5/16 by 18 , a brass insert with black rings. its a thing of beauty

Nope, I keep nothing. I play with an oil-finished sneaky pete, which is periodically sold out from under me. I just make another one.

I don't even remember my first cue. I'm sure it was an old bar cue cut in half, but heck I must have built a hundred of those before moving up into building cues from scratch. I wouldn't know my first cue if it were used to beat me up in a bar fight!!!!

my first cue was a titlist conversion. i promised to my best friend many years before i started making cues. he has that. my second cue is my wifes pj tulipwood. my third cue was my pass around cue which i just sold. everything else is sold before its made. i dont make many but get emothionally attached. i put my heart and usually some blood (lol) into my cues. i hit balls with them before finish and after finish. they are made as weapons not dust collectors.
