Well, I'm not sure whether I should be proud of this, but I once played Nesli O'Hare a race to 35 in nine ball and I didn't take a single bathroom break, a point she took special note of when the game was done.

My proudest moments....

Once left the clock running on 8 tables over night, and owed about $625 the next morning....:D

Won 4 sessions with 4 different people in 2 days and none of them paid me.....til later.

I had my IROC Z, 3 cues, and my new Pings stolen in the same night!

and...the jury is still out, but I might have the record for the highest straight pool run playing the worst patterns known to mankind......I'll let you know...:D

Gerry

Ha ha. This is great guys keep them coming. I tried to see how many spot shots I could make in a row last night and ...welll...:( ...lets just say I will post a score in a couple days:D I think I set a record or at least tied it for being the biggest jackass though:confused: Alcohol + Harvywallbanger = dumb dick!

LOL, I don't know what your run was but, I have to say my run 94 was the ugliest run possible. So I may or may not have you beat here :D :D :D.

....well I don't think I am as impressive on my spot shots as I thought. I only shot it about 30 min. in a two day period but I'll be damned if I couldn't even run 15. I would hit 13 or 14 out of 15 but my high was only about 10:o ...and I'm on a bar box:eek: I'm a good B player and I accpected better but to be honest I have always neglected this shot. I just always took it for granted and worked on other things but now I am on a mission. Surely I can string 30 or so in a row within the week. I will say though that when I was shooting it it was when I first jumped on the table and it usually takes me awhile to get warmed up so we'll see I guess. Anybody have a record of spot shots made in a row? Do you think a pro could make 50 or 100 with a big bet on the line? I'm just curious where other players are on this shot.

OK dude, you owe me big time for this info.:D

the trick to making the same shot a million times in a row is the set up. Of course a ball on the spot....but in the exact same place on the spot....and here's the great part.....

put the cue ball in the same place every time, and aim to a point on the rail thru the spotted ball. Don't aim for a spot ON the object ball. I put the cue ball in a place where I can aim at a diamond to make it with center ball. Then you know you just have to roll the cue ball at your "spot" and it goes every time.......

Gerry

I guess it wont hurt to try this. Thanks. I just always used the ghost ball. When I found out I wasn't "deadly" accurate I started picking a spot on the object ball. Its almost a half ball hit where I put the cue ball but not quite. I don't want to get in a habbit of relying on the set up and just picking a spot on the rail but I will try it just to see if it works. Thanks again Gerry.

My post is if you were looking to break some kind of record just shooting spot shots. Obviously, it wont work too good in most game situations, but if it's on a table you play on alot I'd remember the spot. I used this tidbit when I used to play in alot of ring 9ball games because you get a lot of spot shots when the ball before the money ball gets spotted...

Gerry

Well I don't want to waste all that shooting while relying on a mark I put on the rail. I'd rather make it using the aiming method I use on all 1/4 to 3/4 ball hits. That way I'm getting in practice as well. But if it works as accurate as you say then maybe I will have to try it and see.:)
