Try a little bit of rubbing alcohol on a piece of cloth. That should do the trick.

one damp bath rag to clean the scuffs off. one dry bath rag to shine them. zero cents spent. works every time.

Ceramabryte works great! Thin layer will easily polish off the blacks marks.

A dab of soft scrub will take off the stubborn black stains that don't come off in the ball polisher.

Hand Sanitizer

The mechanics at Diamond who installed my Pro AM a couple of weeks ago suggested Hand Sanitizer (non lanolin type) and it works great. A dab on your finger or saturate a section of cloth, rub gently and polish with a clean cloth = perfection.

Magic Erasure

Its magic at getting those marks off - dab a little corner of the erasure in water and rub the mark. Poof! Gone.

cleaning /polishing the balls takes the marks away most of the time

They're almost always related to the balls impacting the pockets, and so --the nature of the pockets' material.

The marks were from old pockets on an antique table I had. Taking delivery on my dream pool table 2mrw !!!! Brunswick Anniversary C-1. Want the balls to be pristine. I will try your guys advice and am grateful for it. Thanks !!!!
