What ever happened to Pete Margo, the pro player from the 70s and 80s?
I think that Pete was very involved with West Coast Video stores. He was an excellent player. I saw Pete run 138 and out on a friend of mine in a very smooth manner. I felt totally out of place. Pete Margo walked away Allen said, "that man had a high gear only few players have ever reached!" everyone there agreed. It was obvious all the pros had alot of respect for the man. I think he went into the Record store biz, or something like that?.....Gerry

As I've mentioned before, I did see Pete Margo compete on several occasions (straight pool and 8-ball) at the small exhibition tournament held yearly at the Hawk's Nest in Pittsburgh during the early 70's. Though Mizerak totally dominated, EVERYONE was impressed with Pete's personality - very dynamic and very entertaining (more so than everyone else). Did he have the same effervescence when playing in tournaments???

Now that you mention it, he did have a fairly substantial "white-man-Afro-perm" at the time - hopefully this fashion statement did not continue for him.![]()
