Hello,

Does anyone have any information on these cues (price etc) and the current production times?

Also how do these cues play and does Pete still make them or does he have an apprentise etc?

Thanks

Leon

I believe his wait time is about three and a half years and he and his son make the cues together

3 1/2year wait with a small deposit. You can buy on AZ starting around $2500 for a basic 4point/4veneer cue in new or near new condition. Play/hit is subjective, but, I believe Tascarella's are among the best playing cues ever made. Most would say the "hit" is crisp/hard and play is med/stiff with a good action.

If you call, only call during working hours. Just about every time I have talked to him(Sr.) I could here machines running in the background. He is very serious about his work, so , respect that and you'll get along fine.

P.S.- I would first contact Marcus, Fast_n_loose on AZ. He is great to deal with and knows as much as anyone on AZ about Pete and Pete's cues.

As far as I am concerned Tascarella cues are the purist playing cues you can own. I own a variety of cues, have palyed with Baklabushkas and Szambotis and own 4 Tascarellas. All play consistantly the same whether they are piloted steel or ivory. All weigh between 19.2 an 19.4 with 3.9 to 4.0 shafts so are very similar. I play alot of straight pool and these fit my game perfectly. In fact they play very similar to Balabushkas I have owned but are more balanced and weigh a tad bit less which suits me better. To me they are the pinnicle of what a cue should play like. solid with very positive feedback. No suprises, just what I expect from a cue. Firm but not overly stiff. Excellent feedback and controllable movement of the cue ball. Simply intuitive! PM me if you want to discuss intracancies further and I may have one you may want to consider,

You can also email him at: tascarellacues@optonline.net

As far as what he told me, from now on he is taking a $500 deposit, and will not quote a price. This deposit just guarantees you a spot. Once your name comes up, he'll go over the order process and then give you a price when he starts. I believe the 3.5 years is an accurate estimate of his waiting list, too.

As straight pool mentioned, his cues do hit very consistently, and his ivory joint plays like a steel joint due to the steel inner reinforcement. This also makes it more durable as well.

Finally his cues are a great investment, and even appreciate in value due to their reputation. His cues may not have the super fancy, CNC type inlays, and are more old-school in design, but they ALL hit like a Mac Truck.

As far as playing cues go, a Tascarella is a great choice!

The best time to call Pete is around 5 pm and never after 6pm.
