Sigel for sure prowled the East Coast during his time in the 70s and 80s, but I don't recall him being part of the NJ / NYC crowd specifically, being from Rochester / Upstate New York.

I think that was Mizerak. My memory is a little fuzzy on this but one of the Margos married one of the Mizeraks (or the other way around).

Steve Mizerak was married to Pete's sister Linda in the 1970s or so. He later married someone else.

margo was a top player in straight pool and nine ball. could play and win against anyone. and a decent guy to top it off.

As mentioned in the obit above, he got into the VHS rental business at the right time and more importantly, he got out at the right time.

In 1981 I saw Pete in an exhibition at Jack & Jill in Brewster, NY. He was on a run of 198 with a perfect side of the rack break shot and the cue ball followed through the balls to scratch in the side pocket. That was the longest run I had ever seen up to then. He also did an exhibition for author John Grissim (not Grisham, wrote "Billiards") in a firehouse in Marin County (CA). I got to hold my stick during the event (about 1980?).
