I was wanting to get any reviews and pics of PFD cues. Any information/pics would be fantastic.

I know his site/info for contact, just wanting reviews/pics.

Thanks!

I have owned two and I am sure I will own another. Paul is a great guy to work with and will go out of his way to be helpful. He responds to emails the same day and he answers his phone. What more could you want?

All i can tell you from the 2 I've had in my hands are, you'll be
hard pressed to find a perfectionist like Paul.
Outstanding work and in my mind should be higher on the ladder of
great cuemakers imo.
You'll be truly happy with one.Goodluck

I have a pfd and just love it. the construction looks as good as it gets, and the finish is unreal...you have to feel it to believe how smooth. The hit is excellent, and you can tell he is fussy about selecting wood. Just beautiful. I would highly recommend a PFD

reviews

Thanks for all the replies, anyone else? I am gonna have him build a cue, the most expensive one I have owned as of yet. But so far heard a ton of great things, thanks everyone!!

Anymore??

Is there anyone else out there with a review and pics would like to see pics as well.

Pics

Hey there. From what I've researched, PFD is extremely underrated. I'm pretty sure you've already seen some of Paul's work at http://www.superiorcues.com/Drexler.html, but just in case you haven't. ;) There is a new trade-up policy there that if you purchase a PFD and later decide to go with another that's higher in price, they'll take yours back for credit.

I did read about the trade up program, its interesting there isnt a ton of cues listed here for sale/trade. so i did wonder about his following and was hoping there would be more people to "chime in" on this thread?

If you do a search for "Studios" in the gallery section, you'll see a bunch of PFD's that I own or have owned. Although I own other makers cues, I feel that for the value Paul is tough to beat. He also makes one of the best playing cues in the industry. I think a lot of people forget that cues are meant to be played with and when you look at some of Paul's cues it is easy to forget that because they are so beautiful.

I will say that some people do not appreciate some of the designs Paul has done but it's only because he makes what the customer wants. If you want a pink and purple polka dot cue, he'll make it for you. Lol. If you want a traditional looking cue, he can do that too. Over the top designs and exotic materials? He's your guy! Basically with Paul, your imagination is the limit.

Also, a lot of people go to Paul when they want something done that few if any other makers can or will do. Just ask Deano about his "mouse" cues.

If you need a hand ordering something feel free to contact me. I have helped place orders for other members of the forum and all have been happy with the result.

I have not owned any of Paul's cues but in addition to doing work on a few of my Palmers, he is presently completing a custom project for me.

I have worked with various artists, craftsmen, and tradesmen in many fields and therefore can quickly spot the good and bad, the talented and the learners, and the professionals and the hobbyists.

I can relate with confidence that he is thoroughly professional, thoroughly experienced, and possesses inner creativity. He builds and repairs cues full time and has been doing so long term.

With all the work he has done for me, he has been accurate with his time projections, met or exceeded my expectations, and a complete pleasure to deal with.

As was already stated, in my experience, he answers his phone and returns emails the same day.

Cue by Paul

I don't respond to these threads that often, but had my first real experience with a custom cue maker.

I would put Paul/PFD in a cue designer category because he is more then just a cuemaker. I had a beautiful theme cue made for my father in law who owns a limo company. Initially, I gave Paul a few ideas of what I wanted, but instead let the artist take over.

The cue was outstanding. It hit on the themes of what I wanted and integrated the company logo. It actually looks like a limo but not over done. The quality is impeccable. He does it on time, honest with costs and is a stand up business man.

I unequivocally would recommend Paul...for whatever you heart and mind desire...

Hall of fame cue maker

I agree with all that is mentioned plus you're getting a hall of fame cue maker for a reasonable price. Tough to find nowadays. Good luck!

I have had many of his cues
I found them to be as good or better than any out there

I also have about 5 on order now

If you want something really well done, buy a Drexler

Feedback

Thanks to all who have left feedback, its very appreciated. I already have a cue in process at this time with pfd studios, I was hoping to just get more opinions and photos. It seems there is a lot of the same cue makers, cues being listed. So it made me wonder why I haven't seen a lot of PFD cues for sale. So I started assuming that most people think 2 ways, either they do not like them or they love them sooo much they wont sell theirs.

Thanks again to everyone who posted!

Feedback is always well received!
