Hey All !

I am going to be in Pheonix on business and was wondering where I should play and if anything would be going on over the weekend?

There are a ton of good barbox tourneys depending on you being an 8 or lower.
Come over to Kolbys in tempe and you will meet a lot of good players.

If they dont know you, the tournament director rates you and gives a new card.
I have never been asked to show my card to anyone. ever!

Most TD ask you name, and look you up in the Book.

Jimbo's in Glendale has a Tuesday Night Open.

Best thing to do is go to a Bar like Bull Shooter, Metro, Kolby's, and get the Billiard Dart NEWS, and look in the back before the STRIPPER ADS for Open Tournments.

Coco, You need to get out more!! When I was in Phoenix they rated me right there at the tourny!

Ken, I had a great time at Metro. I wanted to get by Kolby's, but never made it. Have fun!

Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday at Metro there is a CHANCE you can get Rated & Play.

Northern takes three time playing Monday.

Other Places I do not know.

I got my RATING YEARS Ago and still carry the CARD with ME.

I would rater tell the guy how it is NOW, and NOT PAINT A ROSEY Picture, and disappoint him.;)

There are always a ton of choices here in Phx area. If you haven't found any through Steve's link, there are on line papers with w/e tourneys if you like those or plenty of places to play depending on where you're staying.

If you're looking for a friendly (I don't gamble) game, shoot me a p.m. I play most games (a little), but I'm not a world beater. Feel free to ask for more info. if you haven't received enough.

In the tourneys I've played in Phoenix, if you aren't rated, you just have to play at the highest rating level. In an eight and under tourney, you play as an eight, nine and under as a nine, etc.

If you're looking for action, just go into Click's on 40th St. and Thomas and look for "Bad Company" on this forum (Jude), or hit up one of the guys hanging by the nine footers...

Ken - What speed do you play?

Go here and evaluate your AZ rating: www.azpoolscene.com/Ratings.html

This will give you idea ABOUT where you fit into the Arizona Ratings. You can get rated at various places: Metro Sportz, Kolby's, Main Street Mesa, etc. You just have to ask to be rated.

There are a few tournaments going on that weekend that you are here. A few normal weekly ones and I think 1 or 2 special events.
